  1. I have had success finding a TA using a website that lets you put in the cruise you want. Different TAs compete for your cruise business by sending you offers. I’m sure I can’t name the website.here Now that I have a TA that I like I will just go straight to him next time.
  2. Thanks for the tip! Then I may just go all out and order the Delmonico and ask for dumplings. I’ve never had dry aged steak before. Kind of a bucket list thing for me. This is kind of a once in a lifetime trip for me coming up, might as well add steak. 😂
  3. @POA1 what are the lobster dumplings like? I generally prefer ribeye to tenderloin but the dumplings might entice me to order that.
  4. Especially if I had booked a lower level of cabin due to having the retreat in my plans. I’d ask for a spa pass myself!
  5. Hmm. This got me thinking. We booked a Lufthansa/EW Discover flight in economy. But now I wonder it it’s economy or economy lite. Mainly the differance is luggage allowance.
  6. Thanks for the info. Just to clarify for my upcoming Zuidy cruise. Are there shelves in the closet, but just no drawers? I’ll be in an obstructed OV on deck 4. When looking for cabin tour videos I’m not sure whether to look at OV cabins or verandas. Those obstructed OV cabins have windows that mimic sliding glass doors.
  7. What an amazing journey it will be! We will boarding Zuidy for the TA right after you disembark. Can’t wait to hear all about her.
  8. It’s nice to hear that the riverboat has a more reasonable price. I find all cruise ship spas have outrageous prices.
  9. My TA sends me a new booking confirmation /invoice with every change, even recently when flight times changed ever so slightly. BUT it’s not the HAL version that you are showing, it’s the agency’s version of it.
  10. I will be there on a Thursday which is a market day too in Cherbourg. I’m on a May TA on HAL Zuiderdam. Is this your cruise?
  11. This video explains the difference that @fusion927 is referring to. It is a detailed interview of a Cruise & Travel Director but a chart in the beginning shows how they are under the Entertainment Director . It makes me really excited for my first HA cruise.
  12. True, there should be an asterisk by the word juice in the chart.
  13. I hope to get here one day! And see the rest of your beautiful island too @Blackduck59
  14. OP why did you cancel the FLL to Montreal leg? At first HA only said that they would cancel the last leg. Did they change their story when you called ? Did it have something to do with getting your money back that you had to cancel both? Or just that it worked better for you to not have to get back home from Canada? It shouldn’t matter with the PVSA law, but were you in different cabins for each leg? Maybe somehow that made the computer system not realize you were on cruise starting in San Diego
  15. I am specifically interested in Cherbourg but a general answer for France may suffice. How many vendors usually accept credit cards vs cash only? Thanks
  16. Hopefully some cruisers will send @Crew News new bar menus soon!
  17. @lisiamc were there a lot of drinks just over the $11 limit? Previously when looking at bar menus I saw very little need to upgrade. Sounds like it’s changed
  18. Makes me appreciate that I qualified for the early booking bonus. Previous to this post most of what I drink would’ve been covered by the regular drink package. Now maybe not.
  19. I will never do a diy tour on a tender day again. Either a ship tour or just walk around the port on my own after eventually getting ashore. Bar Harbor did me in!
