  1. FYI - If anyone will be going on Adventure soon and, if you enjoy an excellent Old Fashion, make sure to ask Alfie in the Crown (formerly Diamond) Lounge to make them for you!! DH says that he makes the best ones!! Cheers!!
  2. No, the Viking lounge is for all cruisers, regardless of status, unless it's blocked for a private function. The now "Crown" lounge used to be the "Diamond" lounge, which is a closed off area in the Viking lounge, as well as another closed area, which is the "Suite" lounge. On Adventure of the Seas, the Viking lounge has been renamed the "Blue Moon" lounge. Confusing for out-of-touch cruisers! Hope that helps!
  3. Yep, white Russian. Cinnamon toast crunch is made 50/50 with RumChata and Fireball, yum!
  4. When we were on Odyssey, we were told by a staffer that there was no elevator up to Playmakers, just the long stair case. I was in a scooter. So, I later had someone tell me that there was a small freight elevator at the back of the ice rink, which is how I was then able to get up to Playmakers. It sounds like the Icon has a similar layout. There was also no restrooms on the Playmakers deck; you had to go back down to the ice rink to use a restroom. Is there a restroom on the same deck as Playmakers on the new Icon? I certainly hope so!! A sports bar with no nearby restroom? Ridiculous design on Odyssey!
  5. Check out the MSC thread: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/49-msc-cruises/ https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/403-msc-roll-calls/ Good luck! Cheers!
  6. Ditto what @doghog said! A pool bartender (very busy) handed me a man's sea pass. Since I always check the name, I noticed the mistake right away. However, he had already given mine to the man, whose sea pass I had and he left the bar! I decided to wait there at the bar to see if he would return. Yep, turns out, he went back to his cabin and couldn't get in!! LOL! Cards were returned to each owner safely. Always check your sea pass when it's returned to you!!
  7. I've seen water jugs available for you to refill your cup at the WJ buffet, as well as the pool bars, but be sure to use a clean cup when getting it from the jug, then pour it into your personal container, for sanitary reasons. Also, some bartenders will refill your water cup for you if not too busy. Others have said that they have been able to carry a duffle bag with a case of water on board, citing medical necessity to take medication, if asked. I usually buy the refreshment package, which entitles you to all beverages without the alcohol, as I enjoy specialty coffees, smoothies, juices and mocktails! Good luck and happy cruising!
  8. On past cruises, we always asked our room steward what he/she preferred, and his/her answer was always, "No problem, I will move your hanging clothes and your packed suitcases to your new room." Very very convenient! On our next cruise, I will only need to move to the room right next door, so easy peasy!
  9. Yes, I am in a scooter, so wondering about that as well!
  10. The elevator system sounds great but wondering if it is still great for someone in a wheelchair or using a scooter? Is there enough time to grab the elevator that opens if you're several feet away from it? Wondering how fast those elevator doors close if you're not right in front of it. TIA Luckily, my DH usually runs interference for me! LOL!
  11. We'll have #9179 interior in November, 2025. Sigh, it seems like a fairly long wait but trying to have patience.
  12. I do not know for sure, so would call the garage to ask that question. I am guessing they would say no for that long of a time frame, so you could do long-term parking at the airport, then shuttle to your ship. I had asked to park our truck at the Tampa terminal when we fly to Vancouver to cruise to LA and through the Panama Canal to Tampa, and was told no, so we are making other parking arrangements for that trip. Good luck and happy cruising!
  13. Our first time on Odyssey (I use a scooter), I could not find any way to get up to Playmakers, which did not make us very happy. I later heard someone tell me about the service/cargo elevator in the very back of the SportsPlex. So, we went back to find it and a staffer tells me that there is no elevator to get up there. I said, "oh yes there is and we'll show you." The 3 of us walked through the SportsPlex to the very back of the room and around a corner, where, lo and behold, there was the elevator! Haha! Royal's own employees did not know it was there! It was a slow ride up but we enjoyed going to Playmakers to watch NFL games, have a few drinks, and enjoy the delicious wings and tower of onion rings!! Not sure why they don't let others know about this and wonder how many have been unable to enjoy Playmakers on Odyssey! Be aware though, there are no restrooms up there (at least there weren't when we were there last year! Totally ridiculous planning; a sports bar with no restroom! Happy cruising! Cheers!

  15. I don't mean to upset you by saying don't let this ruin your "cursed?" cruise. Try a few times to pre-reserve your MTD and, if unable, do, as was suggested, go to the MTD room to confirm your 6:45pm dining time. Breathe, and deal with problems as they happen and try not to worry/stress about the small stuff. System upgrades seem to be occurring more often and glitches do happen but don't let it ruin your cruise. By the way, I pulled up our future cruises (quite a few) and the site said that all of them have been paid off!! Haha! Yes, it's a glitch! I'll be checking my cruises daily to make sure that our upcoming cruises that we did actually pay off, remain paid off! Enjoy your cruise, hope everything works out for you, and cheers!
  16. That's so nice for the crew! I hope they are having a great time today at CocoCay!! Cheers to the crew!!
  17. For a B2B, you will be escorted off of the ship last and then first back on; however, if you want to leave the ship before you are escorted off, to get fresh clothes, you will need to get an "in transit" card from GS; I don't believe that you will need to wait to get back on the ship when you return. On the ships we've been on for B2B, we were served a complimentary lunch for our group in the MDR. Breakfast is for everybody in the MDR before passengers get off. Hope this helps! We love doing B2B's; easy peasy!
  18. I agree that the ridiculing and backlash comments are totally unnecessary, so you should let those comments fall on deaf ears. You, as well as others, have been able to express feelings and concerns here on this forum, and you must be willing to listen and accept what some are saying, even though they do not totally agree with you.
  19. This probably sounds silly but I noticed that I would be due to receive another crystal block on Oasis (which I already have that CB), a couple of weeks after cruising on the Icon, so, I added another B2B just before the Icon, so I could get an Icon crystal block!! Am I nuts?🤔 Would any of you done the same?
  20. Yeah, we should have booked sooner but I really didn't think I'd like the ship but, after following the Icon build, we decided that we wanted to see it in person. We're getting older and can't take $$ with us, so what the h***! Let's cruise on Icon (at least once)! Cheers!
  21. We booked an inside (deck 9) on Icon when the "test" week for November 15, 2025 popped up (intermittently) on-line. We paid $3,875.28 total base price for two and added grats/ins for a grand total of $4,397.28. Pretty pricey for an inside for a week; however, that price has only been going up when I randomly check. If anyone notices a nice drop, please post and let me know (possible finders fee)! We are really looking forward to seeing the Icon up close and personal!
  22. I've seen some other sneak peek videos of the Icon, so not sure why Chris Wong is not allowed to post his yet? The ship looks fabulous inside and out!
  23. I wonder why others have posted videos of the Icon and Chris Wong is not allowed to post his yet?
  24. I cancelled and rebooked the DBP immediately yesterday and even got my OBC back right away, so I could use it again.
