Hello friends! Finally...

Finally after over 3 years I am happy to be sailing again on Princess and doing not my first ever LIVE but my first ever on the Princess board! I invite you all to join me on my adventure as I get ready to sail on the beautiful Regal Princess this Tuesday! This will include of course my pre cruise fun as a build up to the big day! This of course will include plenty of food and drink porn but I also promise to provide a nice balance of everything from the journey there, the ship, the ports, and so on.

For those of you not familiar with me, my friend and fellow CC member Radio inspired me to do my first ever live report from Oasis of the Seas back in October of 2012 and since then I have reported from Celebrity Silhouette, Allure of the Seas(twice), and Quantum of the Seas. I enjoy doing these reports as I try to make them fun and informative and provide people with a view of the cruise through my camera and commentary. LIVE reviews take a lot of time and effort and can be downright frustrating but I feel the end result is well worth it especially seeing how much people enjoy following along. As many of you know I love to take photos and post them here. Hopefully I will be able to provide you all with a lot of high quality and fun photos.

I also have to give a shout out to my friend and also fellow CC member Dave Walker(dmwnc1959) for his terrific, detailed, and informative reporting on Royal and Regal Princess all through the process of these ships being built to when they both sailed for the very first time. The Bon voyage thread on here that turned into a live report done by him was a lot of fun to follow and made me interested in trying out the Royal class. Now that chance has finally arrived. While I know he is taking a break from CC, I wanted him to know how much his work and effort is very much appreciated.

So join me for what is sure to be a fantastic 12 nights aboard the Regal! As Radio would say, "thanks for tuning in everyone!" :)

The itinerary for this sailing is a back to back, 5 nights followed by 7 nights.

Then the 7 night:

The times in St. Thomas have changed and we are now there from 7 am till 11 pm.

My cabins are both on Emerald deck. I will have a balcony and then an interior. We'll see how it goes with an interior as I am usually a balcony snob  ;)

Another first for one of my LIVE reports is I will not be bringing my laptop this time, instead my tablet which should do just fine but will eliminate another bag have to be lugged around. I will be using a Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 along with my smartphone and a very nice camera:

The camera is a Panasonic Lumix G7. I have been very impressed with the photos it has turned out. More information on the camera can be found here:

12 nights...lucky you!!

A word of rcommendation...go to Alfredo's sooner rather than later and in addition to pizza they have some other great items..a ravioli in a sinful cream sauce, a nice eggplant dish, grilled vegetable antipasto, etc...yum!!!

Bon voyages,

Hi Chris! I have enjoyed your other reviews and will be following along on this one, as much as I can.

It turns out we will be in St Thomas and St Martin on the same days, as I will be on Allure.

Following your live review from now until we leave for FLL Thursday will help me pass the time and get me into "cruise mode".

Thanks for doing this!

Hi Chris !

I see you have started your journey for the cruises. I won't be able to follow your "live from the Regal Princess ". But I do have a great reason I will be on the Regal b2b cruises again this year !!!!! You always do such a excellent job. Safe travel to FLL. I will be flying out on Monday and anxious to see my cruising friends from last year and all the new friends I haven't met yet.
