Actually, we've won bottles of champagne that were much better than the free dreck they hand out at the Captain's Welcome Aboard reception. Not top shelf, but certainly drinkable (i.e Korbel or better).

Very very true.... DH & I were shocked that they gave out free bottles of "champagne" for trivia wins on our first Princess cruise. One win, one taste, and we knew why! LOL! :eek:

I've never paid Princess a penny in charges,even during embarkation.

There is a reason they call the stuff they hand out at the trivia sessions "Shampoo" :-)
