Does anyone know how Holland America celebrates St. Patrick Day

:DCurious about how HAL celebrates St. Patrick Day on their ships, if anything. We will be cruising on that date and assume nothing besides perhaps some Corn Beef and Green Beer for sale. I love the tradition of the day, but will not be upset is nothing happens. I can celebrate in my own way with Mr. Jamison.

When we were on during St. Pat’s Day several years ago there was a Pub Crawl. Some of the Bars had Green Balloons and there were green Mardi Gras beads being given out. In the Piano Bar they played some Irish sing along songs.

We have on board several times for St Patrick's Day. All I remember is Corned Beef and Cabbage on the menu. No other notable events.

We have been on a few ships over St Patrick's Day. Most did nothing.

Some had Shamrocks hanging in the Lido. There was a beer that was green colored -- DH asked the name of it (I don't remember what the name was) but he passed on it.

No Corned Beef.

Lots of green hanging around the ships in the lounges, incl. shamrocks; Green beer, corned beef (not green, though), green beads, green apples and, at times, green faces

Oh yes, Mickey’s big mouths followed by Mad Dog. It hurts to remember :p

Be sure to wear something green during the day and/or evening.

We do this across the cruise lines we have sailed on St. Patrick's Day.

We are actually embarking the Veendam on St. Patrick's Day for our Cuba Itinerary. Should be fun. Green is my favorite color!

I don't recall ever hav ing corned beef and cabbage when we were aboard for St. Pat's day.

We will be on the Noordam for St Patrick's day and my partner (an Irishman who has lived in Australia for the last 45 years) just went "oh yeah - I'll be having that" when I told him about the corned beef and cabbage! I so hope they have it for him - would be lovely.

Awww. I hope so too. I will be on a different ship and may have it also. HAL does seem to recognize national celebrations in some way or another. I know I appreciate it when they do.

We wore green and shamrock headwear. LOL Were not alone. The CD on one of our cruises had an event in the Crow's nest with snacks and "champagne". Lots of fun.
