What’s your favorite Cheers Seaday?

Sea day I’d probably have two specialty coffees and two bloody Mary’s in the morning. A red frog beer with a guys burger for lunch. Afternoon if I’m on the Lido probably a reds rum treasure from the rum bar. If I’m in the atrium probably a cruiser from the atrium bar. Late afternoon-early evening a couple alchemy bar drinks. Spicy chipotle pineapple martini, cucumber sunrise and basil drop are my top three. Then in the evening have some beers with the shows. I’d mix a few waters in there throughout the day to keep the hydration up.

Spiked coffee in the morning, Irish or Chocolate Lovers would be my preference. A screwdriver or Bloody Mary at brunch. I kept it simple in the afternoon and evening, Woodford reserve on the rocks, wine with dinner. You can get water, and non-alcoholic coffee and they don’t count against your limit.

Well, at the risk of sounding like a lush 🤪 oh, what the heck, here goes. I maximize my Cheers program.

I start off with having some protein and maybe some fruit for breakfast. I’m not a fan of Bloody Marys, so I may have a mimosa if I go to brunch. If not, I head up to Serenity by 9. I grab a vitamin water on my way up. When the serenity bar opens, I’ll drink 2 or 3 (Bahama mama, Miami vice, maybe grey goose and soda with lime) while I lay out for a couple of hours. On the way back to my room, I’ll stop by a bar and get a bottle of water. Go shower, then head to Red Frog. Order a Painkiller or Beachcomber. Send my friend out to Guys BBQ to get a small scoop of mac and cheese, top it with pulled pork to bring back to me. I alternate my Red Frog drinks with a water [emoji6] When Alchemy opens, I’ll have a couple there (The Perfect Storm or Chipotle Pineapple Martini), maybe go play some trivia. I’ll go get more vitamin water and head to the room to change for dinner. Depending on how long my primping takes and if I take a power nap, I’ll stop by Alchemy again on my way to dinner. Maybe bring that drink to MDR or not.. I always order a glass of Cabernet with dinner. Go wait in line for comedy. Drink a couple of sweet & spicy jesters at the comedy club. Head to the casino where I’ll gamble and have some wine or vodka sodas. Grab bottled or vitamin water & head to bed. [emoji6]

I love this thread!

Wake up and head to MDR for breakfast but stop at coffee bar and get a latte or americano, bring that to dining room. Usually two mimosas with breakfast, and occasionally I'll grab a third one at lobby bar on the way back to room to prepare for pool day. Head up to pool, nap. Drink 1 or 2 blues blue margaritas around lunch time and into afternoon. Nap. Usually grab one more mojito or frozen drink late afternoon go play bingo, slots, cornhole whatever. Sometimes one more before heading back to room for pre- dinner nap. Shower and prep for dinner. Go to alchemy for martini and take into MDR. Usually have one more martini with dinner. Stop back at alchemy get martini to take to shows, piano bar or whatever after dinner. After said nighttime activity (usually one or two more cocktails at that venue) head back to close alchemy. We aIso get big waters in MDR and collect water throughout the day as well. I added that up and it's 15 drinks :o but I've never actually had more than 8 or 9 in a day that I can recall. My boyfriend has only hit 15 once or twice himself but it usually ends up saving us a hundred or so dollars between the two of us.

I like this thread!

I do usually 2 rum and pineapple with breakfast, since I’m a guy and a mimosa is out of the question. Pool bar usually some (2-3) grey goose and club with lemon or limes. Take a swing by the coffee bar a few times through the day and grab a vitamin water to stock the room. The alchemy bar before dinner 1 I drink there and bring another to dinner. After that maybe casino drinks and alchemy again. Of course if we go to the comedy club it’s better to go to the bar in there yourself because service is usually pretty slow

This thread rocks!

First, a spiked coffee, then a couple of bloody Mary's with breakfast. A couple beers hanging by the aft pool. A frozen drink of some kind with guys burgers or tacos. Another frozen drink while enjoying the sun on serenity. Perhaps a second. Gotta throw in a couple waters and vitamin waters just to keep hydrated, lol! A Makers on ice while getting ready for dinner. A stop at alchemy for a Caribbean manhatten while awaiting for the MDR to open. And a second to bring to dinner. Another spiked coffee to end dinner. Off to a show, stopping for another Caribbean manhatten (best drink on board...). A frozen drink at the show, cause we just don't have them ever, except on a cruise. Gotta throw another bottle of water down. And after the show, stopping in the atrium for a night cap, probably another Makers on ice. Then a vitamin water and a bottle of water to head back to the room to rest for the next sea day! Gotta love vaca!

^ Agreed! Caribbean Manhattan is my favorite.

Usually a night owl, so I'll get up around 11am and start my day with an iced Americano from the coffee bar. Grab a salmon bagel sandwich or a breakfast burrito (w/ habanero salsa, sparingly) for breakfast, paired with a bloody mary or an IPA. Hang out at the lido and drink a cruiser and kiss on the lips. Take a brief nap on the lido. Wake up, hit up a game of bingo or two, order a couple makers with coke. Grab some bonsai sushi, and by this time alchemy should be open. I'll start off my grabbing a Caribbean Manhattan and cucumber sunrise. Head to the room, get ready for a night at the comedy show and night club while drinking a second Caribbean Manhattan in the room. Grab a slice of pizza with an IPA then hit up the comedy show. Have at least one more Caribbean Manhattan, basil drop, and maybe a deal closer. End my night at the night club with a few more makers and coke finishing it all with an Irish car bomb.

Typical Day:

Breakfast 2 Bailey's and Coffee or Screwdrivers or Mimosa's

Afternoon 3-4 of whatever moves me!

Pre-Dinner 2 Achlemy Bar drinks

Dinner 1 of whatever moves me!

Night 2-3 again depends on mood!

Could be anything from Vodka to Scotch to Frozen Drinks with a few Chocolate 🍸 tossed in!

Mimosa for breakfast (coffee drinkers say add kahlua or bailey's)

I like Pina Coladas on the Serenity Deck. I rotate them with Carnival Cosmos - which are my favorite and I like to drink those at the Piano Bar, along with something I haven't tried before.

I like sangria and I will have it at dinner.

Plenty of bottle water throughout the door, on excursions, and to take back to the room.

I was sad I never tried a milkshake but I just never got around to those!

I am not a coffee drinker so I don't usually start using my cheers! benefits until afternoon. My preferred drink is a Captain and diet coke so I take my own plastic cup with a handle and just ask bartenders to put my drink in there. Many actually get a kick out of it because it is different. I still like the frozen drinks and usually find one of the Alchemy bartenders at the other bars and ask them to create me something frozen and I have always liked what I got. Then once Alchemy opens that's it for my night. I like the perfect storm, the remedy and the deal closer. But remember the bartenders at Alchemy like creating stuff so if you give them free reign you will probably like what you get. On our last cruise my hubby got really sick. I mentioned it to my favorite bartender at Alchemy and he said "bring him to me" I did and he made by husband a "concoction" that cleared his sore throat, unstuffed his head and allowed us to keep parting the night away. One last tip.....bring lots of $1's and give an extra when you find a good bartender. We did this for the first time on the last cruise and were shocked at how much more attentive the bartenders were.

You and me both (*and my wife)!

I've posted this several times, but I never get tired of it:

The minimum we would likely drink for a sea day would be: Bloody Mary at breakfast, pool side drink before lunch. Drink with lunch. 3 drinks at least in afternoon. One martini type drink before dinner. Wine with dinner - three glasses typical. A couple martini/scotch drinks after dinner. Already at 12 drinks. Maybe a few drinks less for a port-day (skip the drink before and at lunch and one afternoon drink).

Add a second Bloody Mary (or mimosa) at breakfast, a second drink at lunch (beer, probably), and I'm nudging the 15 drink maximum.

Thank you for this! I didn’t know you could use your own cup. I like my Tervis tumbler for its awesome ability to keep my ice from melting and keep my drink cold. And thank you for the “tip” tip, too :D

I've always gotten Cheers and my sea day and port day never varies with what I drink since I'm 99% Coors Light for the whole trip..

Just got off a cruise and in addition to my beers, I did have a few Bailey's and Amaretto, one martini and one or two of those frozen drinks that looked good.

I saw people drinking all kinds of stuff and mixing liquors...those days are over for me...LOL

me

I don't drink soda, water or milkshakes but it's nice to know it's an included choice with Cheers/

Start with getting a good cup of tea from the coffee bar. Then quickly move on to a Kiss on the Lips which is basically mango and peach schnapps and tastes delish. Throughout the day and evening I mostly drink Grey Goose Collins until the heart burn gets too bad lol. I always try a couple of different glasses of wine in the dining room. After dinner I'm too full from eating and drinking but usually like to keep the party going a little longer so I switch to Lemon Drop shots. They are soooo good. It's a shotglass rimmed with sugar and has limoncello, lemon juice and vodka.

I’ve never had Cheers before but it’s my 40th birthday cruise on Horizon Inaugural so we’ve treated ourselves.

My plan - Freshly squeezed Orange Juice from Havana & to try the unusual sodas from there.

Speciality coffee

Bloody Mary

After lunch or as soon as we return from port Pina Colada or frozen drink.

Pre dinner Alchemy bar - spicy pineapple chipotle

Glass of wine

A dinner menu special

Alchemy bar

Then a cocktail from whoever bar we are in.
