Are You Seeing Any Tuxes on Formal Night @ the MDR?

Saw several on my Caribbean Princess 8 day cruise in May. I'd say the majority wore a dark suit.

No they wouldn't. This point is often brought up but has no effect.

Some do. Some don't. Simple as that. Some pax look good in a tux. Some others look like the Penguin from Batman.

I just got off the Island Princess. My wife rented a tuxedo for me for the two formal nights on that ship.

Yes, hubby always wears his tux on formal nights. I wear either a nice cocktail dress or gown. We enjoy dressing up...part of the cruise experience.

If it is Formal Night, I am in my Tux.

personally, i don't see why people care what other people choose to do...as long as it doesn't affect someone else. If you want to wear a tux, fantastic. If you want to wear slacks and a polo, that's great too. It's your vacation and you're spending your hard earned money to enjoy it. Be yourself.

I'm not quite at the penguin stage, but not too far off either. A suit pretty much does it for me.

Our next cruise is a 15 day to Hawaii. We'll be celebrating many events so this is a special trip for us. I bought a beautiful floor length gown for formal night(will only wear it one night, other formal nights I'll bring a nice cocktail length). My husband doesn't own a tux, but we saw he can rent one and have it delivered to our cabin. Has anyone else done this and if so, how was the experience?

It was in the closet when we arrived and disappeared after the last formal night. Could not have been easier.

I've never worn a tux but do wear a suit for formal night. We do still see tuxedos onboard and we both think they look great and appreciate them.

I still wear a tux! I get to dress casual at work, so I enjoy dressing up on formal nights. I’ve never worn my tux “on land”.

We cruise about 2-3 times per year. Husband always wears a tux. Kids wear suits, they are 10 and 14
