Solstice Secret Doors

Anyone want to share any info on secret doors on the Solstice or Equinox (I imagine they'd be the same?!?!?!?).

I look forward to searching, but knowing one or two ahead of time wouldn't kill me ;).

My understanding and experience are that there are certain unmarked doors that provide access to special outside deck space. On one Princess cruise we got access to the deck over top of the bridge. These doors are secured if weather or seas make them unsafe.

How does one go about getting this access:confused:? Whodoyagottaknow:confused::confused:? I'm amazed that this isn't more widely discussed, and that anyone from the cruise line would allow you to go somewhere that's apparently off-limits;)!

Super Elite cruisers ( a new category shown on the Celebrity web site) have unlimited access to the secret area on the new ships. It's really a private area near the bridge with free cocktails and drinks 24/7, unlimited free Internet and Satellite phone service, and a sports bar with 50" screens showing every sport available on TV. We used it frequently on our Equinox cruise a few months ago.

As I understand it, if a door isn't looked or marked "crew only" it's fair game (generally speaking.... common sense applies).

If these unrestricted doors exist, wouldn't we know about them by now? I still would like to know how beaver was able to get to the area he described on Princess.

i really miss that. .spent many sail aways there.. i think all their ships up this.. same view as the captain.

you go on A deck forward and go thru a door and then another door-up a few steps and you are there.

Last year we sailed on the Century for 11 days in the Med. One of the CC elite activities was a special cocktail party for the Gibraltar Sail In. We met in the theater and were escorted to an "off limits" area reached in back of the stage. It is generally an officers recreation area with a small pool. Perhaps this refers to this area or this sort of door?

One space that nobody ever uses is the deck space in front of the gym with wooden deck chairs....I spent a lot of time there....enjoyed the solitude! Real nice!
