Dumb question......

Smoking in the casino is usually located on one side of the casino only. There is no need to walk through the smoking area...figure out which side has the smoking area and then use the other side.

There are also Non-Smoking evenings in the casino.

The casino still reeks of smoke whether they allow it or not.

I've not seen a non-smoking side of the casino. Smoking has been allowed on both sides on all my trips.

That said, I have at times seen an isolated group of slot machines with No Smoking signs placed around them. They signs can be hard to see and the smokers don't always notice them, drawing complaints from the non-smokers playing there.

There has been a non smoking side of the casino on all my cruises.:)

The casino smoking has cost Princess any opportunity to remove money from me. I realize most lines allow it, and sure agree a non smoking night is not helpful.. Interestingly comments made that smoking and gambling go together. Of course, also heard the same about drinking. Our city is 100% non smoking . Period. The bars complained at first, but after a few months admitted their business was as good as ever. Non smoking on Princess balconys has brought more folks to take a balcony and few complaints are heard. Do I sound like someone anti smoking? Yep, I am, but I smoked for 54 years so do know the difference. (by the way I quit 13 years ago..)

I agree with this statement! I'm not a big gambler but it definitely turns me off from wanting to go into the casino. I guess the casino isn't as popular though when they don't allow smoking? Ah well, lots of other things for me to do on board!

Well, our perceptions are certainly different. Don't peg me for a smoker though, never have smoked in my life. I've got no agenda, it's just been my observation that I believe I've seen smoking on both sides of the casino on every cruise and we've been on some of the same ships though not at the same time.

I'm kind of the opposite. I smoked for 26 years. I quit 4 years ago. I (hopefully) will never touch another cigarette again, but I also empathize with smokers. Although I don't like the smell of cigarette smoke(Especially stale smoke on people) it doesn't bother me enough to say "I will not go into the casino when people are smoking) JMO :)

To me though, smoking is SOOOOO 50s,60s and 70s. Smoking is going away and isn't acceptable anymore. It won't be 20 years or less and it will be gone(at least legally)
