tampagal Posted July 13, 2005 #1 Share Posted July 13, 2005 We went on the Inspiration in Feb 05, Imagiation on Apr 05, and booked on the Liberty Dec 05. There is an unbelieveable price for the Inspiration Sept 05. Would it be overkill to repeat the same cruise in the same year?
serene56 Posted July 13, 2005 #2 Share Posted July 13, 2005 To each their own. The shows will be the same. But the menu will be the same no matter what cruise you sail on. I like to try new and different so I would see what other ships are sailing for.
tampagal Posted July 13, 2005 Author #3 Share Posted July 13, 2005 It's only $600 for both of us after port fees and taxes for five nights/six days. And we live in tampa so no parking fee, airline tickets, or cab fare.....
serene56 Posted July 13, 2005 #4 Share Posted July 13, 2005 Sept this year?? 300 for 5 days?? who cares if its the smae ship--lol But sept is hurricane season so if you are prepared for that-- jump on it.
tef43 Posted July 13, 2005 #5 Share Posted July 13, 2005 Repeating a ship/itinerary beats staying home.
lbfluffy Posted July 13, 2005 #6 Share Posted July 13, 2005 I'd jump at it. Wish I lived there. We lucked out last March and got the RCCL Monarch for two for 4 days at a total of $360 for the both of us. Never saw that rate again, but it was a great experience with my son. tampagal Posted July 13, 2005 Author #7 Share Posted July 13, 2005 I thought the price was awesome. Just hope I don't cruise out my boyfriend. Maybe if I treat him to this one he won't put up a fight

snista Posted July 13, 2005 #12 Share Posted July 13, 2005 I would anyhow if I liked the ship the first time...but for that price...my credit card would be smoking from the speed of the transaction. LOL :D :D :D Happy Sailing!!!

micdee Posted July 13, 2005 #14 Share Posted July 13, 2005 Go for it. You like the ship and the price is great. Heck I did the Destiny 3 years in a row for the very same reasons.
mc'smom Posted July 13, 2005 #15 Share Posted July 13, 2005 I would not care if it was the same ship or not. It could be a row boat for all I could care. It cost me that much to stay home for a week ! LOL :)

DreadPirateRobert Posted July 13, 2005 #17 Share Posted July 13, 2005 Just hope I don't cruise out my boyfriend. Maybe if I treat him to this one he won't put up a fight If he can get "cruised out" ,maybe that should tell you something.... :) Beside, what guy is going to turn down a week at sea with his honey? I'll bet you can figure a way to convince him. ;)
MrPete Posted July 13, 2005 #18 Share Posted July 13, 2005 Yeah, but just plan your activities a little different. Saw the show? Go for a swim. Did that excusion? Do the other one. And hope for a change of cruise directors to add to the mix.
SomewhereBeyondTheSea Posted July 13, 2005 #19 Share Posted July 13, 2005 No two cruises are ever the same. New people to meet at your dinner table. New people at the pool and more to see at every port. EXACTLY!!!
I Luv Crusin Posted July 13, 2005 #20 Share Posted July 13, 2005 I'd do it, if given the chance! You might get an entirely different cruise if a hurricane gets in your way and if not there's always something new to do in the port!
nybumpkin Posted July 13, 2005 #21 Share Posted July 13, 2005 A friend of ours just expressed an interest in the NYC-Canada cruise next year on Victory, which is the cruise we took last year. During our cruise last week, DH and I talked about how great it would be if friends or relatives came along with us - so we're thinking about possibly repeating on Victory if our friends decide they want to do it. While the main shows will be the same, it would be a very different cruise with friends along for the ride.
Annieeee Posted July 13, 2005 #22 Share Posted July 13, 2005 Don't even hesitate! Go for it! I am doing the Grandeur three times this year, went in April, June and will be going again in November. It is like going to a favorite restaurant. If you like it, you like it! Have fun! Annieeee
glrounds Posted July 13, 2005 #23 Share Posted July 13, 2005 I beat the hell out of the Mexican Riviera for all the same reasons. Look at my cruise chronology. As Pete said, no two are the same. You'll even become the official itinerary "authority" at the dinner table. :D People will point you out to their travel companions as you saunter down the promenade ! ! The cruise director will ask you questions ! ! The Captain will invite . . . . . . well . . . maybe not, but you get the picture. ;)

Crazy about cruising Posted July 14, 2005 #25 Share Posted July 14, 2005 I sailed on the Victory 10days apart back in 2003. The price was too good to pass on. Had a great time both times.
