Johnny Rockets now $5.95?

Recommended Posts

I just read from a cc poster that they were charged $5.95 for Johnny Rockets cover on their last weeks cruise on the Liberty of the Seas. Is this true on this or any other RC ships with JR? Thanks!

I saw that it was advertised at $5.95 on the Independence of the Seas last week, so I guess the price has gone up. That being said, I did not see a single customer in there the ENTIRE week we were on the cruise. I passed it about 30 times on the way to the flow rider and back, and never saw one paying customer in there.

That's how it was on Oasis in December. I felt bad for the staff. It was like JR and Seafood Shack were abandoned.

Hey Russ,

Are you doing another food porn thread this year?

I wouldn't be surprised if they did, they seem to be nickel and diming away lately . But does $1 really make a difference in the scheme or things?!

Does $1 make any difference?

It's a 20% increase.

And yes, it matters.

Not to me - I don't eat there.

Hey Russ,

My DW would not let me take photos of the food this year since we had 14 at our table this time around. Most of the food looked the exact same as on the Oasis last year though, so the photos would look pretty similar. I did take some great shots of the food from my Celebrity cruise when we dined at Qsine. I will try to get around to posting those in the Celebrity forum section for you if you like.

It's six bucks for all you can eat !!:eek: How much do you pay when you go to Furrs or Golden Corral ? Twice as much.

The buffet and MDR are all you can eat for FREE (well really you already paid for it in your cruise fare). Why would I want to pay $6 per person for Johnny Rockets when I can get food just as good for $6 less elsewhere on the ship?

I do hope you dont have to pay the cover charge to just walk in and buy a shake ??!!

You can get a shake without having them add the cover charge. However, if you sit down, they will quickly serve fries and onion rings, which will incur the cover charge. Tell them before you sit down that you only want a shake, or order the shake to go.

Thanks. Don't go and post those pics just for me. With 2 kids along with is it will be a while before we ever give Celebrity a try.

Not that i support the additional surcharge for the repulsive food, but, if you want to get technical, $1 is .1% of a $1000 cruise. Immaterial.

There is nothing technical about it.

Yes, $1 is one tenth of one per cent of $1,000. But that is irrelevant.

Increasing a price of $4.95 to $5.95 is an increase of 20%.

Increasing cruise fare of $1,000 to $1,200 is an increase of 20%.

Mentioning one does not diminish the other.

So I take it the shakes are free?

No, shakes are not free. I forget the charge for shakes, but I imagine it's around $4. I was describing how you can get a shake without also having to pay a cover charge for the food.

Because the point is to have no point except to be mathematically correct when the question was a matter of principle...hmmm...
