jocko4279 Posted March 7, 2015 #1 Share Posted March 7, 2015 I just printed mine today for my 3-29 cruise. It's always an internal battle as to try to keep myself from not getting too excited and jumping the gun, with a lot of time to go and wait! I just thought I'd see how others approached this, and if I'm the only nut who agonizes over these things.haha
ASchaff Posted March 7, 2015 #2 Share Posted March 7, 2015 Usually the day before we leave.
mary80 Posted March 7, 2015 #3 Share Posted March 7, 2015 Usually a week before.
2Shoes2Go Posted March 7, 2015 #4 Share Posted March 7, 2015 Usually the day before we leave. Just a couple of days beforehand. Sometimes a cabin change or upgrade could occur. I hate wasting ink and paper. Also, close to sailing, there may be tax and port fee refunds. These will show up on the page with OBC. If refunds don't show up until night before, I write them in on my copy.
pe4all Posted March 7, 2015 #5 Share Posted March 7, 2015 As soon as I make final payment! (which could be when I book my cruise!!- as much as 1 year in advance) Love having all the stuff sitting in a folder ready to go.:)
PortSideCruzan Posted March 7, 2015 #6 Share Posted March 7, 2015 (edited) Hi Jocko :) We typically make final payment for our sailings 1 to 2 months prior to the final payment due date, which then allows us to print the (boarding passes). I print the online booking summary & luggage tags the same day after making the reservation for the voyage. I print the invoice (billing statement) right away, that is emailed the same day after making the reservation. Have a terrific day! :) Edited March 7, 2015 by PortSideCruzan
Frank12 Posted March 7, 2015 #7 Share Posted March 7, 2015 About a week or 2 out. You never know when that upgrade fairy might call. Hate to waste all that ink!
AngAndBoys Posted March 7, 2015 #8 Share Posted March 7, 2015 Usually somewhere between one month and one week before the cruise.
Velvetwater Posted March 7, 2015 #9 Share Posted March 7, 2015 A week before tops. I would lose them otherwise.
trvlgirlmq Posted March 7, 2015 #10 Share Posted March 7, 2015 As soon as I make final payment they are printed and put in my trip binder.
pusywillow Posted March 7, 2015 #11 Share Posted March 7, 2015 Right after final payment. I have a folder with all my trip documents. I did have to reprint when I decided to purchase FTTF for the first time. I put luggage tags inside my suitcase also so I will just put the original ones in there. ccruisequeen Posted March 7, 2015 #12 Share Posted March 7, 2015 Also after final payment. I always keep the cabin I booked, so there's no need to worry about being moved. Sent from my KFSOWI using Tapatalk
firemanbobswife Posted March 7, 2015 #13 Share Posted March 7, 2015 Right after final payment. It then goes in my padded travel organizer along with my Passport, old gift card for the safe, trip insurance info, hotel reservations, etc. I put everything in there as soon as I make any type of reservations and some things never leave that organizer awaiting my next trip :)
SadieN Posted March 7, 2015 #14 Share Posted March 7, 2015 Print the out as soon as I can. When I've waited til the last minute there's always been a problem - no ink, no paper, electricity goes out......
LCTXcruiser Posted March 7, 2015 #15 Share Posted March 7, 2015 I always print the moment I make the final payment. I think I do this because I want to have proof just in case something happens and my reservation gets lost (which it never has....).
WindsorFred Posted March 7, 2015 #16 Share Posted March 7, 2015 This is me. I have everything in a folder ready to go and all I need to do is pull it out when we're doing our final packing. I have to reprint the OBC page if there's a price drop along the way, but that's no big deal. Same here.
kybluecruiser Posted March 7, 2015 #17 Share Posted March 7, 2015 As soon as i pay my cruise lol.i can never contain my exciment.
skrufy Posted March 7, 2015 #18 Share Posted March 7, 2015 Ours get printed out after final payment. When we book a cruise we put together a small binder with all the paper work, and then add new pages when changes are made. Such as price drops, obc, or adding excursions. To us its always good to have copies incase theres an internet problem.
YB Nrml Posted March 7, 2015 #19 Share Posted March 7, 2015 Right after final payment. You never know when you could have a printer glitch!

CraftyScribbles Posted March 7, 2015 #21 Share Posted March 7, 2015 (edited) I printed ours yesterday for our 3-21 cruise. I was going to wait until the week of, but decided to cross it off the list. I have much to do before our leave and that was the easiest. We're good on our balcony, so we're not upgrading and payments are completed along with excursions and other activities, like FTTF. I have them in my trip folder. Edited March 7, 2015 by CraftyScribbles
bonnie&clydecruzers Posted March 7, 2015 #22 Share Posted March 7, 2015 I usually print it somewhere in the single digits before the cruise.
love my grandkids Posted March 7, 2015 #23 Share Posted March 7, 2015 One week before, no reason to do it earlier and very often we upgrade or get upsold just before the cruise
whaletaillover Posted March 7, 2015 #24 Share Posted March 7, 2015 :)I always print ours out as soon as final payment is made,I keep a travel folder and put everything in it.
SMSACE6 Posted March 7, 2015 #25 Share Posted March 7, 2015 usually about a month before the cruise. It is only then that I am fairly certain that things at home wont impact my ability to cruise. Sometimes before that, but usually a month before.
