I got another offer for a bunch of free cruises mostly junior suites and balcony. It can also be used as 1500 off a cruise of my choice. I was shocked to see Symphony on the list.

That looks like a book! Did they mail it to you ? Maybe that’s the list for Signature or Masters ... but $1,500 trade in value is nice and also new

Thanks for the update. Looking forward to my letter next Saturday.

How much would you say you played over the last 18 months?

Sent from my iPhone using Forums

In 18 months I estimate I had over 40,000 points. That’s only halfway between Signature and Masters. No one told me my points though. I’ve sailed probably 30-35 times in that period and have gotten a lot of $400-$500 cents. Plus some free IN and OV. Maybe one balcony.

After my last 4 night cruise on anthem I had 4500 points they offered me an inside comp on a select 3-5 night sailings or $500 off. I thought that stunk considering I get comp suites on Ncl and gamble exactly the same. I callled my outside host and he was able to get me a comp grand suite. Guess it’s better to book outside

Just off Freedom of the Seas today. Casino Host said yesterday that nothing has changed on the Freedom yet. Same card right away with drink sticker on it, no letter, no tier, no internet deal from casino, etc. (already get the 48 hrs of internet from being diamond+) Freedom is moving from Ft Laud. to San Juan in a month or two, maybe that's why.

I was told by the casino host on the Serenade of the Seas last week that "only a couple of ships were going to participate in the new program.

I called Club Royal the day after we returned and was told he was "wrong" . That all Royal's fleet was participating and that I would be getting an email about my status by Thursday or Friday. It is now Saturday and no email. We are doing a B2B on the Rhapsody leaving next Sunday. And want the perks I'm supposed to get. I will call again Thursday if I haven't heard from them by then.

Wanted to share this from our recent Freedom of the Seas trip. Not sure how much it has changed since the launch of the "new" program vs the "old" program.

That form posted on the Freedom is from the older program, still going on it seems. Husband called today, & they said the new program has been delayed & we will get email about it eventually.

They have always said that the on board certificate program would say.

Some say they have seen the new program on some ships but it’s not on some ships yet. Pathetic if true, and no reason to doubt if it is.

BOTH the onboard host (Enchantment) and CR Rep today on phone said the tier program is only on a few ships right now. Host said 4 ships.

They are testing the rollout. At some point the levels will show up on our Seapass cards and no stickers needed. I think Crown and Anchor division had been upset about the “conflict” with card recognition and onboard benefits so that’s why this has taken so long to roll out.

Officially, the new program is NOT “official”. It’s still subject to change. Whatever tier you got assigned onboard now via letter COULD be changed until the program is official. I still find it odd that the ship knows my level now but CR Reps know nothing. You would THINK close communication would be happening. It just makes the program look bad

Just got off the Oasis and the vip drinks sticker was on our cards when we boarded, the no 5% charge didn't need a sticker it was loaded to the card account. When we got to the cabin we had a welcome letter saying our current level when we went to the desk to ask questions the hosts just pointed to a sign on the desk which literally stated the points needed for each level. They didn't want to answer any questions about it.

You received a comped grand suite and are Prime, I must not be living right :D

Have a great cruise.

For those who received a letter, did it say anything worth while? I only got the internet card.

Thanks

Me too, I estimated I have about 22,000 points, at the top range of Prime, and will probably get the Prime tier with a free inside. So close but so far from the next tier.

The comped Grand Suite might be from his play on that one cruise, and not necessarily from the new program.

Or his spouse also plays. I know of people who took two OVB certs and got a suite. Just a thought.

I booked through my land casino host. He’s able to work his magic for me. He used to be vp of caesars entertainment in Las Vegas but retired. Now him and his wife opened their own casino junket to book anything for me. He has not booked my NCL because I have done that on my own for years and do get suites booked directly through cas. So I found it strange for my same type of gambling on royal as I do on Ncl why was royal only giving me an inside not even an ocean view or balcony comp. I thought something was wrong with this picture so asked my host what he could do for me and walla the grand suite

That was strange but sounds like it all worked out for the best. Good for you! Enjoy the GS and good luck in the casino. :D

Just left Enchantment. I verified play on roulette for over 4-1/1 hours. Average bet $100. Host told me I only earned 536 points! Wow! Really? I was shocked. I threw down $7,000-$8000 worth of bets and that “normally” doesn’t qualify for free drinks??? He didn’t have an answer. “It’s the computer that calculates it”.

I better enjoy my Signature Level while it lasts. At this rate it WONT lol.

Plus- certain drinks in the casino were “not allowed”. Some top shelf. I ordered a Baileys. They said they could not give it to me but they can substitute a different brand. Another WOW... Not sure if that is ship specific but I heard other complaints from high rollers as well

Hmmm. Interesting as this does seem to bear out what a couple of hosts have said in the past. The points is highly dependent on the game you play. The bigger advantage the House has the more points you earn. Roulette has a low house edge compared to the “carnival “ games that I play (3 card poker). Even inside the game they distribute points different from what I gather. The bonus bet earns more for example.

The idea of certain drinks being off the free list isn’t surprising but baileys? I drink scotch and on my last cruise I got Macallan 12 without an issue. While not a high end by any means I would figure it to be the same price point as Baileys.

If what we have been told is correct once you are signature you stay that. They won’t be demoting. I guess we will find out if that is accurate or not.

We just got off Allure yesterday.

The casino host told us our points total from the evaluation period (July 2016 - Dec 2017) and what tier level we are. I thought it was strange, though, that they would not provide us with anything written. They did not have any copies of the tier level qualifications or benefits. The casino hostess also mentioned to my husband that the program is going to change again soon....so not sure what that means.

I have had to have my certificate upgraded on the last 2 cruises I was on. Both times, my final points count was significantly higher than the points that they had used to calculate my certificate value. I believe that they are cutting off the points count at LEAST a full day before they issue certificates. My guess is that they have been doing this all along but I just never thought to have them check my final points total at the end of the cruise. Trust me, I will do it every time from now on. Both times they have re-issued a new certificate immediately but if I had not checked, I would have gotten only the value of the original certificate. I have also decided that I am now going to track my points myself rather than relying on them to track my points totals. I no longer have any confidence that their tracking is accurate.

You are absolutely correct about certificates cut off early.

On day 6, going to breakfast, early am, like before 7, I saw on our cabin stewards cart, that someone was getting a Casino Certificate. I believe the cutoff is 8pm on the next to last day. If you play in the evening after 8pm, then you really lose two days worth of play.

I only played the first sea day for about 5 hours. I had about a half hour play on the slots and 96 pts. I played the rest of the time on Roulette with average bet over $50 a spin. Several bets in $400-500 range (table limit). I checked my points the next evening after 8 and they had me for my 96 pts on Slots but only 40 on the table.

I said enough of this.

This was on Harmony who the CH said is not participating in the new plan although he put a sticker on my card.

We have also gotten certificates early while we were still playing. However, my understanding, those extra points still count. Example: a player qualifies for a $200 certificate before the last day. Host has certificate delivered to cabin. Player continues to play favorite game and by the end of the cruise earns a $300 certificate instead. A call to Casino Royale will verify the updated amount once the player gets home.

This has happened to us recently. My husband received no certificate on the ship but did qualify for a certificate via a phone call. I also heard the casino manager explaining this to a player who was concerned with that he had already received a certificate but still had a half a day yet to play. My opinion only: some hosts like to close out accounts early so they can get their work done without staying up until 3 am.

I usually qualify for a higher certificate the last night. I just go to the casino hosts, when I am finished for the night, and they issue a new certificate.

I play the slots and from now on, especially with this new tier program, I'm going to be taking a picture of my points at the end of each cruise, so I have a record.
