Cookie Questions

I have two (admittedly silly) questions and both concern cookies.

1. Does anyone know what the plain brown cookies sprinkled with powdered sugar that they have on the buffet are? Too dark for sugar cookies...but oh so good! A friend called them "crack" cookies because they are so addictive.

2. On the Magic 12/27 cruise room service delivered us 2 plates of cookies on our last sea day that we did not order and we didn't have to sign for. I saw them being delivered to several rooms but have no idea why. Any thoughts?

As I said, questions of no true importance but they have been driving me crazy :D.

I think it might be sad that this is my favorite thing about cruising (in general the food) but those cookies are seriously the best things in the world. I usually get at least one plateful a meal! I know room service has cookies you can get and you can also purchase cookies from fun shops pre order (the money goes to Saint Jude). I really want to know what kind they are though!

I love those too and I'm not sure what they are either. To me they seem like a brown sugar, sugar cookie. But that's just a guess. I've had the casino deliver me plates of cookies but they usually come with a card so you know who sent them. Did you play in the casino during the trip?

They're probably a molasses cookie their

version of a ginger snap, but my favorites are the chocolate chip, I always take a plate full back to my cabin after lunch to have late at night with hot chocolate.

I think I could live on their chocolate chip ones!!

OMG, we call the chocolate chip cookies my "crack" as well. I enjoy them so much they are always part of my first meal on the ship, my last meal, heck every meal.

The chocolate chip cookies are a lot of people's favorite. My last cruise I saw people with a plate piled so high they had to hold the cookies on the plate so they wouldn't fall off. I love 'em too, but not quite that much.;)

My DS gets an order of choco chip cookies and milk delivered to cabin every night, he loves them. If you order a double order they come in a little bag labeled "cookies" in what could be kids hands writing, cute.

OP maybe they delivered the cookies you got to wrong cabin by mistake, glad you enjoyed them!!!

I think to me they are more like a butter cookie of some sort, they are really good. I love chocolate chip cookies but I'm not a huge fan of the ones on the buffet. The cookies they have at the bake shop are really good. We sometimes order a dozen delivered to the room to enjoy over the cruise.

I'm not sure I've ever had these cookies. If you could compare them to a national package brand, how would you describe them? Or are they more like a homemade cookies? Are they more crunchy, or soft? I guess I have been missing out!

The chocolate chip cookies do not compare to any brand. They are baked fresh every day and are crunchy and sweet with a slightly salty aftertaste.

Mmmm...only 27 more days to enjoy cookies!

I too, am addicted to the chocolate chip cookies, as I can't walk through the buffet area without snagging at least a couple of 'em. I'll have to give the others you're talking about a shot on my next cruise. They sound GREAT!

We too, get a plate of cookies delivered to the cabin occasionally, and when not accompanied with a card, I've always assumed it was because we're "Diamond", and also in the "Casino Club" group. In any case, they're a wonderful gift.

Interesting, because I consider myself a cookie conniseur of sorts and I was very disappointed by the cookies last week on Valor (dry and hard). Obviously I prefer soft cookies. I probably only ate 3 cookies the entire week.

I agree- I don't find Carnival cookies very good. But, I am comparing to- quality, top ingredient made cookies, rich specialty chocolate, butter, no additives etc. :) They are just not to my liking. Everyone is different.
