Anyone receiving Free Cruises from Casino

Got a free cabin offer 4 or 5 years ago and booked a balcony. Just paid taxes and fees. A year later got another casino offer and booked a balcony for about $400.00 for 7 days. My wife only plays the penny slots and does not spend much. Her current casino offer is nothing special but we did book a balcony for 8 days for $1800.00. Was looking at a 7 day NCL cruise but liked the Carnival deal better. I think some of these free cabin offers are just sent randomly but being a big spender in the casino certainly helps.

Yes Seamusdad is right.

It is not only how much you put in, but how much you play. You have to buy in with your S&S card and they track you. There are other factors: how much you bet, how long you play and how much you win and lose. And when I say how much you "win", that doesn't mean you only get offers when you lose money. I have gotten a bounce back letter after winning over $5,000 on a cruise.

So wyobean, you said "but what is not being said is that likely the gamblers are paying more for their cruise in the long run than the rest of us., that is untrue. That cruise, I paid for, but with the winnings and the free cruise I took with the offer, I was ahead about 3 cruises.

What some people here are not understanding, is that we are talking about the bounce back offers, the one that you receive from the casino that last night of the cruise in the form of a letter under your door. These are offers for a free 3-8 day cruise of your choice because you met the requirements (listed above) in the casino that they want you back. They know, as most gamblers should know, that in the long run, the odds are in their favor that they will get your money.

I have gotten 4 bounce back offers before in the past. Earned every one of them, by playing 4-6 hours a day in the casino, betting $30-60 a bet at craps and sometimes going home after a week long cruise with over $5,000 more than I took and others losing my alotted $2500 in a week.

I hope that Carnival has not gotten away from these offers, as I have not seen one lately, as these are more intriguing to me.

So if you think you are going to get a "free" cruise from Carnival by playing the slots with $100 a day, forget about it.

Now the offers you get in the mail or on the Carnival site in "your offers" of reduced fare cruises or Premier Casino Cruises are a different cat. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to these offers as to who gets them and when, but I haven't been able to enjoy one of the many offers I get because they don't seem to be that good of a deal that fits into my schedule.

No that doesn't work. It is,based on how much you play not how much money you put in. So if you put the same money in that you cash out without playing you will not get more points.

Oh yea I didn't mean literally just put the money in and take it back out. I tend to play for a few hours winning and losing some and try to leave without having lost any money. So I wasn't saying I would just put it in and take it right back out but if I budget $400 I hope to play on that all week by breaking even most days. If I were to be losing, I would probably stop playing or put in much less on the last days, whereas if I am breaking even or winning, I will continue putting in the same amount or maybe more each day.

I've only been on a cruise once and it was Norwegian and we just did basically that but with cash, I never looked into how the cards work.

I was sailing with a group of friends. One friend got over 3000 points on the 13 days cruise and woke up to a printed offer of a free cruise on debarkation day. This was her first cruise and she is very thrilled! I am thrilled for her, as well! I had over 4700 points and have no offers.

If you already have another cruise booked (as it appears you do) you generally won't receive a bounceback offer even if you have enough points to otherwise qualify. They already know you're coming back, so there's no incentive for the casino to offer you a free cruise.

I am aware of that. Not really disappointed. Can't wait for my next cruise. I made final payment today.

  • 2 months later...

My wife and I each received a free cruise letter on the last night of our recent cruise on the Liberty. Played a LOT in the casino. Won pretty big. We will certainly take them up on these two free cruises!

Like they use to and Yes we have the Play.😡😡

We got a free cruise offer slipped under our door on the last night of our January cruise and we didn't buy in with our S&S card not 1 single time. (I'm thinking when you say buy in with your S&S card, you mean pull money off your S&S card to play with? If so we didn't do that, we just put cash in the machine) All we did was leave our S&S card in while we played and let the points build up. His offer and my offer were both for free interior cabins. (yes they gave us 1 in his name, & 1 in my name) We came home, and booked both offers. He booked the offer in his name, I booked my offer, we're taking family and leave out again in June. Only had to pay port fees & taxes. :D

No, I din't mean you have to put your buy in on your card. Just when you buy in, you give them your card so they know who you are. I don't play slots, so I am talking table games in my case. Most of the times, they will ask you for your card.

When you put your card in a slot, they know who you are. This is how you are tracked so they know how much you spend and play.

I took one last year. It was a Bounce Back offer that I got on the last night of the cruise.

I usually have at least 2 cruises booked at any given time so it's rare for me to get a BB offer.

I haven't received a Casino Cruise offer for a long time, but I take 3 or more cruises a year, almost always get over 6000 points, so I guess they know they don't need to entice me to gamble.

Both My mom and myself received a bounce back off after our Premiere cruise on the Valor in Feb for 2 people . We both booked the Sunshine for a journey cruise for 9 days for $250 pp(that was port taxes and fees conerted to Cdn dollars ) . We are cdn and this is a 9 day cruise in a spa inside cabin. Our flights were $200 return from Toronto to New York so for under $500cdn we are going on an cruise for 9 days with flight . That cruise to book same room is around $1200 US per person which converted is close to $1600 cdn or more pp. without flight . I did lose approx $1000 in the casino but I consider this a huge deal . $1800x2=$3600 (inc flight). I paid $900 for 2 people with flight . Also I like to have a drink and I always get the DOU card at the beginning of my cruises which also makes my drinks free . This itself probably saves me $500- $600 per cruise . I would gamble anyway but getting these deals makes it well worth it and I still am in a win position and still save money .

Not necessarily true. I received a bounce back offer while I had 2 Carnival cruises booked. My point total when I received the offer was just over 1600.

Theoretically in order to get these offers, whatever formula the casino uses has them coming out ahead in the long run based on how you play. (how long and how much). Some people get offers and spend less and some get offers and spend more. Other than upgrades from the free interior for two that is my normal offer I have only paid port fees and taxes for my last 100 or so sea days.

My next cruise is a 4 day in a Grand suite that is sticker priced at 3K, I only paid $600.....so my gambling budget starts at that $2400 difference. Did I pay full price for the cruise, sure I did, but I will get offered another free interior before I get off the ship, and we will see how that one plays out.

I received a phone call from my personal Carnival travel agent informing me that I had a "free" offer. I asked him if there was anything in May in Alaska and he looked and said no. Then he told me that he had one cabin available for The Vista, 10 day Barcelona to Athens. I Booked it. I have received several offers for free cruises , inside cabin. Premiere cruises at a discount with $700 casino cash. We are leaving on May 14th on the Vista and our cruise price was $389 for both of us and $100 on board spending. I would love to go on a premiere cruise as I have heard that they are lots of fun. Maybe someday soon.......

 No wonder I dont get any free cruises!!

I do get discounted rates though, and am happy enough with those. Always wondered why I dont get a free cruise, now I know! LOL.

You do not need to spend $400 per day to get a bounce back offer. My DH played BJ every day on our cruise last month. It was a 7 nt. cruise with 2 sea days so 9 trips to the casino (maybe 1 or 2 more). Each time he started with $100 and maybe put another $50-75 dollar in during the session if the table was cold. Over the course of the cruise he only lost $300-400 however, he ran approximately $1k through the casino. On the last night he was given a bounce back offer, which we took them up on for our Magic 7/23 cruise :)

We play BJ as well. My husband had a slightly higher level of play on our last 7 nt cruise, he probably ran 1300-1500 through the casino, and no BB for us. I'm wondering, though, if it's because most of his table buy-ins were with chips, rather than cash. He had a great first night and played off of those blacks won for the majority of the trip, with a few cash additions here & there if he didn't bring enough blacks that night.

I'm wondering if it would be better to stash any chips won to cash in the last night (or let me play with them :p ) and have him buy in each night with cash no matter what. He's taking about 1k for our upcoming 4 nt, so I'm curious to see if any offers are received this time.

I'm guessing thats table points? If so, how do you find out how many table points you have? Do you just ask the pit boss?

I tried that on the Conquest last month. We needed to run some money through a new credit card to receive the promo bonus, so I charged all of my 3-card poker money to my card and saved my chips at the end of the evening. I cashed in $1,250 the last night, deposited the cash, and paid off the credit card. My SO, who played just slightly longer than I did but with higher bets, received a bounce back offer and a premiere cruise offer. I have received nothing so far, a month after returning home. I almost broke even, while my SO had a loss. BTW, we received DOU cards at the same time, on the third day.

My DH NEVER used chips to buy in at the table. Each night he would cash out his chips for money. Also, whenever he would get a green or black chip he would pocket it rather than leave it on the table to be colored up at the end of the night. This way, the dealer/pit boss never really knew how much he walked away with each night. That strategy seems to have worked for him, as his/our play was the same as it's been for the past 5 or 6 cruises and this is the first time he's gotten a BB offer. This was the first time he tried that strategy.
