1388

It's an Aft balcony D1 cabin. It's unique because cabin is larger in size similar to a junior suite. It has a pole through it because of the ship structure. It has a large corner balcony, which I am enjoying right now while responding.

Thank you for the review. We are booked in 1388 on the Adventure in June. Absolutely fantastic room - we sailed in it twice on the Explorer! Thank you for the pictures!

Quick update. This is probably the last day I'll have data on my iPad. We're in St Croix today. Yesterday was amazing. We arrived in St Thomas by 8:00. We overslept so were rushed because we had an 8:30 excursion with Fury Charters. We went out to Buck Island to snorkel with the sea turtles. I was a little concerned because last weekend Capt Mike called to let me know the morning excursion was full and if I wanted to change to the afternoon we could. I didn't change because we had dinner reservations at Giovanni's and I didn't want to be rushed back to get ready. Even with their 25 max the boat was comfortable. We sailed back with the sails up, drank rum punch and soda, and enjoyed island life. I'll share more details and photos upon return.

We dined at Giovanni's last night for my birthday and because it was formal night and we didn't bring formal clothes. It was wonderful. Great service, food was excellent, and we left stuffed.

We've been over to the beach near the dock this morning here in St Croix. Very warm out today. We're now back on the ship.

Dinner on night 1 was extremely slow, over 2 hours. I've never seen such a line for MTD at the door both when we arrived and when we left. Hoping tonight is a little better. Our cabin attendant has been wonderful and such a sweet lady. We're about to head up to pool deck for a drink and some sun. I plan to get caught up on my notes and thoughts today for the complete review. I'll try to take a few pics around the ship and post before we leave port.

DW and I have a scheduled excursion with Captain Mike so it was good to see your positive review. We are going on the afternoon excursion in order to grab some extra ZZZZs in the morning. :D

We just got off as well! I am looking forward to what you think overall of the cruise. Sounds like you are off to a great start! I agree with you about the MDR. SLOW! but we had the best dining staff so it really didn't matter.:)

Just off Adventure and watched you sail away from the Sheraton Casino Hotel. Stop by the champagne bar. The trio there, Virginia, Didiere and Riza are just phenomenal. Tell them Jerrod & Nick say hello. We miss them already. Have a great time! We had a blast!!

Quick question, we are staying at the Sheraton for next years cruise. What did you think of it? Was it far from restuarants and Walgreens/CVS? My husband and I might have seen you guys at the Champagne bar on the last night!

Thank you for taking the time to review.

Husband, my brother/wife are doing a back-to-back 3/17 and 3/26. Spending a few days in old San Juan. We have sailed out of this port for the last 7 years and love the southern island route. We have never traveled Adventure.

I hope you enjoy Cosul - we have done his excursion twice and highly recommend it.

Will keep checking back with your continued up-dates;)

Well, we've made it home and back to work. I made it home with all the compasses I do believe. I have my notes ready to go. Just need to get all my pics loaded and I'll get back to it.

I will say it was a wonderful week. I have zero complaints about the ship itself. Yes our room had a musty smell, but it is in the Southern Caribbean where it is HOT. Yes, some furniture showed signs of wear but it did not impact its use. I saw maintenance doing repairs on pool loungers daily to ensure they were in working order. We had the most fabulous stateroom attendant ever in 8 cruises. The only complaint with staff was our MDR meals were excruciatingly long. Now, as I think back this could be because we were on a port intensive cruise and were absolutely exhausted almost every evening but they were too long. Minimum 1.5 hours, the longest a full 2 hours.

My goal is to get pics loaded to photobucket tonight and get started on the full review some time tomorrow. Thanks for hanging in there with me.
