You would be happy here then KK. Lots of dark chocolate (too much for me - LOL). The dessert last night was very dark and many of the pillow chocolates have been dark too. Most of the chocolates in the gift packs are dark.

Thanks Ruth. It is really humid right now so I think I will leave them in the fridge and let them warm up before eating them.

I'm thinking they would be good to share at a sail a way. Chocolate and wine - yum!!! :) :)

HM -- wonder why our cruise had mostly white chocolate everywhere?

We would get 2 nights of milk chocolate and then 2 nights of dark chocolate -- rotated like that.

Chocolate and wine go together very well.

Those boxes that are sent to your cabin after you have dined at Le Cirque -- one would be white chocolate filled with coconut and the other one would be milk chocolate filled with coconut.

Haven't done Le Cirque yet, KK. Our first one is the 18th I believe. I'll let you know what is in the little boxes once we get them. White chocolate is fine by me though, in all honesty ;)

I'm not as much of a dark chocolate fan as you are ;)

We had a thank you note today for buying a wine package (actually, two - a 7 Navigators and 5 Admirals) and telling us we would receive an extra bottle of wine on our next package. But no thank you for the comment card, and no mention of it from the stewards. I'll wait another day and then ask them if they heard about it, as their supervisor should be calling them in to commend them.

We never received the offer via a note, but our wine steward did offer us an extra complementary bottle last night.

Last night's dinner was good as usual. I did remember to take a bit of food porn for you and will try to get better at it.

My delicious salad

As long as we all get the extra bottle of wine, all is good :). I thought it was very nice.

Not sure why we got the thank you card Ann - maybe because of the cellar master suggestion? I just thanked the concierges and happily took the chocolates. ;) ;)

Hi Jacqui - I just found this. The pictures are wonderful! - Shar

Thanks Shar. Welcome on board !!!

Well, it's raining today and there is a bit of motion to the ocean.

The overhead roof at the Lido - can you see the rain peeling off?

There's a couple of spots where it leaks through where it meets. An intrepid traveller who was not prepared to change his seat (and whose permission I have)....

In fact, I am surprised that the pool has not been closed yet.....

I tried to capture some of the motion of the ocean in the pool

Motion of the Ocean or not, it doesn't stop our wonderful hula dancers.

Our LIdo server, Peter Pan joined in on the action. Not only is he good, he's very funny.

The chef actually came to give him a couple of fruits to provide a figure. LOL.

He performs before shows with encouragement from the guests. He dances as he serves too sometimes.

Kazu

On the longer cruises like your's we've had that offer. Good incentive, beyond the 5 star discount, to purchase another package!

Enjoy, as I am enjoying your thread!!

It is a good incentive Silver, but we were going to order anyways. We still have a ways to go - LOL.

Our other cruises were only 30 and 31 days so maybe they weren't long enough for this incentive. In any case, Kazu is a very happy camper :)

We had a very nice dinner in the Canaletto last night with Travelling Dot. It's nice with more people as you can get a better selection of dishes. We had three antipasti, the salumi, duck pate and zuppa di pesce - the best was the fish soup, definitely; then the pappardelle and spaghetti bolonese, the spaghetti was better, the white sauce on the pappardelle was a bit too lemony, although there were some nice big shrimp in it. Then we all shared the veal piccata and the sea bass. The sea bass was lovely, I wasn't crazy about the brown sauce on the veal, but it was thin and tender. Just a few pics.

But again I forgot to go to Tapatalk, so will post them separately.

And, of course, last but not least, the limoncello mousse. If I can't have chocolate, lemon is the next best thing. Actually, what you see is only half the serving; I ate one of them before I remembered to take the picture.

All of that almost made up for not winning at pub trivia!

Thanks, Kazu and gang, for a very delightful thread. A question, if I may: Does anyone in your group have a cabin on deck 5, at the stern of the ship? Is the Absolutely Awesome Anton still the cabin steward there?:)

We have a couple of roll call members at the stern o the ship. If they don't post, I will give them a dingle and ask for you.

Did I hear our good captain promise to throw the Greek officer overboard if we don't get the better weather he predicted for tomorrow? :D

Nasty weather from the Beautiful, Elegant Westerdam.

The weather forecast for tomorrow does NOT look promising at all. Let's hope the weatherman is proven wrong. And we get the 30% not the 70% chance. (I will not even talk about Bora Bora and since weather can change dramatically in 72 hours, we will hope that is the case).

If it is like today, I highly doubt we will be able to tender - grrrrr.

Fingers crossed!!! And toes!!!!

The Master Cellar Dinner was on the 14th of April. DH and I cancelled as we had just done the Master Chef Table on the 11th and with us losing the 12th, that meant there was only a day between two 7 course dinners.

You just can't appreciate these meals when you have them so close together.

BUT a number of our roll call did go and thanks to Angie (MsABGilroy) we have some food porn for you from the Cellar Master Dinner. She just shared the pics with me today.

Everyone reported that the food was VERY good as well as the wines and it was well done. Dinner did not drag on and was over by about 8:30 according to reports. For some strange reason, coffee and tea were not offered at the end unless you requested it?

here is the menu thanks to Angie:

And now, a bit of food porn - in order of the menu....

Many thanks again to Angie - aka MsABGilroy for being kind enough to snap the photos and share her experience with us.

DH and I will be at the next one which is totally different (or so Csamba says) from any Cellar Master ever done before!!!!

Mass was SRO again, must have been over 120 people -Father made a little joke: Were we all anticipating going ashore tomorrow? At least they had taken over the Stuyvesant Room as well, so, although warm, it was not as bad as last Saturday.

I'm afraid I was distracted by a crack in the curtains, where I could watch the horizon rise and fall in relation to the railing on the L P deck....

That is the same menu that we had. We had to cancel as well -- I came down with Bronchitis.

I love it when they leave the draperies open during Mass. First, it makes the room feel bigger, and it lets in more light. Plus, I love to look out every once in a while.

So sorry that those in charge still aren't allocating sufficient space for you.

Thanks for reporting in.
