Great Stirrup Clay updates

So we are on the Sky in a weeks time, if we're not going to Freeport, are we then not going to Nassau? (hopes not)

 

On last week's 4 day cruise, we left Monday, stopped in Key West Tuesday, had a sea day Wednesday, Nassau Thursday and back to Miami Friday.

I wasn't keeping up with this, and I'm sad about the lagoon transformation.

It was always our "secret" place. I used to tell DH they should sell this as an "excursion". It was so peaceful, tranquil and away from the crowds.

 

Do you think they read my mind?

Where has the Sky been going instead of GSC on the three day? We are leaving on Dec 2 and the itinerary still shows GSC. Do they tell us once we are on board and can't leave?

I'm scheduled to spend Christmas Eve at GSC. I can still purchase excursions. Someone is bound to post if the official new opening date has been postponed yet again. In the meantime, I'm just keeping an eye on excision availability and crossing my fingers. It's rare for things to open on-time in the islands so I don't expect much and will be pleasantly surprised.

Also NCL are still actively advertising sailings on the 28th as going to GSC, which is reprehensible if they know there is no way it will be ready.

I saw pictures taken yesterday by the Captain of The Sky. The Sky was anchored.

 

At the new island in Belize- there is a dock for ships.

YES, they did build at dock at Harvest Caye in Belize.

anyone been there yet since the renovations? would love to see updated map and hear about changes. I'll be there on the Epic during our December 17th cruise and wanted to research what to do on the island.

We are on the Epic now and will be at GSC on Friday with a small cabana. I'll try and take good notes etc.

Ours went fairly smooth. We waited in traffic for the drop off lane for about 30 minutes but then went well. We are in the Haven though so we checked in...had just sat down and then Haven was escorted on at about 11:45 I think. I think there were some delays for other check in groups.
