We're out of.....

I'm intrigued that I see a lot of people saying that ran out of bananas. A few years ago I was on a RC cruise for 9 nights. During one of CD's morning shows he did a tour of the galley and they showed how they bring in bananas from ripe to still green so that there's fresh bananas thru out the trip. Lo and behold on the last morning there were fresh yellow bananas available...

One cruise the new bananas weren't right so the chef rejected them at port and they didn't have enough 'old' bananas.

Luckily we got a casino fruit basket so we were able to give a banana to one of our breakfast table mates. She was going to eat it out of hand when the waiter swooped in, took it from her and presented it to her in the proper fashion- cut banana on a half peel.

On the Legends transpacific from Hawaii last year they ran out of Coke and Sprite 2 nights before Sydney... however they had heaps of American beer (coors and the one in the blue metal bottle... bud light?) left over from the Alaska cruises and decided to give it away for free at the diamond platinum (& gold as there was only a small number diamond card members and no platinum people on board) party & the captains cocktail night! not to mention the ATM ran out of Australian notes the first few nights in apparently and they replaced it with US money... which was useless to us...

I sailed on Carnival Miracle when she was going into dry dock after we guests disembarked. Doing the Behind the Fun Tour, many of the storerooms were either empty or nearly. I had purchased a wine package and during the final few days of the cruise, my preferred wine in the package was not available. All bottles had been served. In its place, I was served the same type of wine that was more expensive than the wine in the package. And, that wine was quite acceptable. I was pleased with the ship's management of the situation.

Have you ever been on a Carnival cruise and they ran out of something? Bacon, flat iron steak, ATM money, wcmc, Budweiser, etc?

Certainly not talking about a disaster cruise like Triumph or anything...just a regular cruise.

Why is the Triumph a disaster cruise?? or is that just an expression?? Just wondering thanks.

Our our Vista cruise we just got back from, they ran out of Gold VIP pins. Our cabin steward said they hadn't had any for a couple of weeks. He felt bad and gave us a couple of platinum pins. I refused, since we weren't platinum but he insisted.

Here's the Wiki. Look at Incidents and Disasters.

Though they didn't run out of Spam on the Splendor after her fire.

The Swine Flu cruises in 2010 ran out of ports on the West Coast.

Another check for bananas! We've seen it twice.

Wasn't on Carnival, but on my senior class cruise aboard the Premier Atlantic in 1995 the ship ran out of ALL alcohol about 8 or 9 pm on the last evening. The captain came on the PA telling us that all bars were closed and congratulated us for being the first group in his 20+ years as a captain to drink the ship dry!:o:D

Believe it or not I was on a cruise the week after July 4th and they ran out of all of the frozen drinks mixers. It was on the 2nd day! No Pina Coladas, strawberry daqueries, mango mix-nothing but drinks on the rocks or beer. We were so disappointed but made the best of it.

I would cry. That's all I drink on cruises! Alcohol wise anyway.

Didn't Carnival run out of beer on Legend's first run Down Under? On other cruises I know they've run out of some types of wine.
