Anthem Tender Tickets

Recommended Posts

I am cruising to New England and Canada on the Anthem in September, including Bar Harbor which is a tender port. I know we have to line up that morning to get tender tickets, but I wonder does everyone have to get in line or can one person pick them up for everyone in their stateroom? Does anyone know?

On our August '16 Bar Harbor stop, they announced that tender tickets would be available starting at 7AM. Was one of the first there and we were told that the tickets would be available 30 minutes prior to our desired disembarkation. They use large tenders/ferries, and by 10AM when we got off, no tickets needed.

Thanks. We are scheduled to arrive in Bar Harbor at 7:00am and have an independent tour booked for 9:00am, so I want to make sure to get an early enough tender ticket for us to make our excursion.

i'm wondering about coco cay as well. do people that have beds/cabanas need to go for tender tickets . i'm assuming you get priority with purchase of the bed etc?

I would expect a cabana to get priority tendering, but not the beds, though I have never seen anyone ask that before. I would check the description of the excursion online to see if it says anything.

On our Anthem sailing, tender tickets were still being called after noontime. We did not get off the ship, so we heard the announcements going all morning. If you want to get off early, I would go get a ticket early. When we were at breakfast in the WJ, we heard people complaining about tickets in the 50's and they went to get their ticket around 9:30.

My husband got in line at 6:45am, got his ticket (#7) at 7:30m and we were on the tender by 8:10, Bar Harbor at 8:25am. We waited in a lounge 1 floor above the tender deck and as soon as they called our number we got in line.

That is helpful as it gives me a good idea of what time I should get in line to get off the ship right away. Thank you!

I believe I read this in another thread, but hoping someone can confirm. We have an early morning royal Caribbean sponsored excursion in Bar Harbor starting at 8:00 or 8:30. Do we still get the tender tickets? I thought I read those with early morning RC excursion tickets don't need tickets as they will board first?

No tickets. Any tours thru RCL, the meeting point was in the theatre and escorted off by a RCL rep. based on the time of tour.

Your excursion tickets will be in your cabin with instructions on where to meet. The group will then be taken to a tender, you will not need to go get a tender ticket as they will likely be running a tender for excursions and a tender for those without excursions.

thanks to both of you for your replies. I asked in a review thread and they confirmed I wouldn't need a tender ticket, but I appreciate the additional information on how the process works!

Note the line time: 45 min. There was a long line of people ahead of him so don't get nervous. Someone else posted that they got on line at 6:45am and there were only 3 people ahead of them so as always, ymmv.
