Sorry your CocoCay day was cancelled. Getting to those private islands can be such a gamble sometimes.

Did you speak to anyone who went to the Blue Lagoon in Nassau? We were there the week before the hurricane hit, and I was wondering if anyone knew how they fared. Such a gorgeous place.

Just out of curiosity, when a ship stays overnight, do all passengers have to be on board overnight? For instance could you stay out at the bar till 2 am, or stay in a hotel in Nassau instead?

You are free to come and go as you please, 24 hours.

As noted, you can come and go at your pleasure. For an overnight there should be no problem.

One note...on a cruise to Bermuda with several nights at dock, there was a storm system arriving. The Captain announced that the ship would be leaving earlier than originally planned. We left the night before instead of 8am the next day. We heard some people we staying with friends in Bermuda, so we wondered if they knew to be back on board earlier than announced when we first docked.

Hello everyone and Good Morning. Welcome to DAY 7 of “LIVE”from Anthem of the Seas. I woke up to a very cloudy day. It was raining for about 90 min but it looks like a storm may be near. We were joined in port todayby Carnival Pride, Norwegian Sky, and Carnival Elation. It appears that clouds and rain will be around much of the day but we should have warm weather . . .

It seems that Anthem of the Seas passengers have booked some early excursions today, but they will have to be back by 2:30PM. Some of us may walk around downtown to see what is around but we won’t be gone for long. Withfour ships in port, today will be very busy downtown. There are several outdoor movies scheduled for the day and I may try to watch Spiderman Homecoming later tonight.Casino Royale will open at 3:15PM. That alone will be very popular with many passengers.

Here are a few pics from this morning. . .

Radio, I am following you posts & pictures. Thoroughly enjoying it.

We were back to back on the Dec 22nd & Dec 30th cruises. Both of which had Coco Cay as a stop. We made it on the Dec 22nd cruise and saw the work that's being done to build a dock. However, due to the weather it was cancelled on the Dec 30th cruise.

However, we did not stay overnight in Nassau because the port was full. We had a sea day. There was a credit on our bill for the port charges.

Radio, thanks for this. Reminder I asked if you had to use your D+ bogo dinner benefit 1st or 2nd night only or can use it a different night (which is what I remember). It looked like you used night 3. Thanks. Looking forward to boarding Sunday.

Great review Radio.

Based on your posts/pics, you were scheduled to arrive in Port Canaveral @1pm and then be back on board by 9pm? Can you confirm that was the case? Be gently folks if I missed a post that answered it.

Thanks

Hello everyone and good day. We left Nassau promptly at 2:30PM. The wind was picking up this morning, and as we left we could see the swells, and feel the rolling. Passengers were not happy yesterday, but it turned out to be the right decision for us to cancel Coco Cay. It would not have been a good beach day, and I can only imagine the tender difficulties that may have occurred.

Today was a very hectic day . . . It was very unusual. I can’t put my finger on it, it kind of seemed like this was our final day and passengers were hurrying to do things that didn’t get done. But we have three more nights on board, and there is plenty of time to do more things, see more shows, spend time in Casino Royal, and have many more cups of Starbucks coffee. . .

The Captain suggested that we will be experiencing considerable movement for a few hours, but things should calm down tonight. We have 962 nm to get to our home at Cape Liberty. The weather should improve as the wind levels decrease, and we should be ready for sunny skies for a couple more days.

Here are a few pics from today . . . Thanks for tuning in.

Glad you had a good day today, even though you didn't get to Cococay. It does look like the Captain did make the right decision.

Is there an opportunity to buy internet onboard by the day? We don't need all that bandwidth just a check a few e-mails every couple of days, so we'd like to purchase by the day if we can.

Enjoy the rest of your trip!

Thank you!
