Hello everyone . . . Good Morning and Welcome to DAY 5 of “LIVE” from Anthem of the Seas.

We have arrived in Miami. I went above the bridge wing onDECK 14(FWD) to get a few photos, and film a time lapse. It was very cloudy and dark . . . There may have been a few rain drops.

There was no fanfare as suggested by the CD, but this may have been because of the weather. There was a helicopter flying around us for about 30 min. I was happy to see the NEW Crown of Miami being constructed. This will be the new home of Symphony of the Seas. When we arrived at the pier there were about a dozen suits but that’s okay as we have arrived. The ship has been cleared and passengers are allowed to go ashore.

The weather for today should be very warm 80F, but mostlycloudy . . .I can see the sun trying to come out. All passengers must beonboard by 5:30PM for a 6PM scheduled departure.

Here are a few pics from our arrival. Thanks for tuning in.

We can see Miami . . .

.

I went looking on YT to see if someone posted a video of Anthem arrival in Miami and found one time laps posted this morning but I'm not sure it is yours as it seems to come form a Balcony location as opposed to one of the bridge wings.

Also sorry to see that there was no fanfare.

Thanks for the great pics

Hello everyone . . . I had a very nice day out and about. It was a little weird at the terminal. We left at the Terminal G exit, but returned at the Terminal F entrance. I guess they are somehow attached. I first decide that I may just go over to Bayside Marketplace. You can get a free shuttle and it’s only about a mile away.

I then decided to rent a car and go over to South Beach. I didn’t want to go to the beach. . .I just wanted to see what was there. The traffic was very bad there, and I chose not to park and just rode around awhile. It seemed very cool, and maybe I would want to spend a day or two there.

I decided to go over to Bayside Marketplace which was very nice. . . The sun was out strong, there was Live music everywhere, and everyonewas very friendly. I decided to have lunch at Segafrado Espresso Café. I love their coffee (That is the premium brand sold on MSC) There was great music, good food, and fantastic coffee, I was in heaven.

I decided it was time to come back to the ship so I returned the rental, and hopped on the free Hertz shuttle back to the ship. If I came here again I may go down to Virginia Key (very close) or Key Largo for the day.It was a very nice day with perfect weather.

Here are a few pics form today. Thanks for tuning in. . .

We had fantastic, hot, sunny weather today so I'm sure your day was nice in Miami.

News Cafe is a fantastic place to stop and have coffee and eat in South Beach on Ocean Drive. The people watching is fantastic.

Enjoying your report!

Also on the Anthem. This day in Miami was perfect. Cruises from Bayonne/New York should consider a stop in Miami for now on. Much better than Port Canaveral.

Toad— I think PC will always win out as the options of the Parks trumps whatever Miami brings.

I know a lot of people do Universal or Disney excursions

Hello everyone and good morning. Welcome to DAY 6 of “LIVE”from Anthem of the Seas. We are in Nassau, Bahamas. The weather today is warm(82F) with a few clouds but no rain. I made a quick time lapse up above the Bridge wing earlier today, but after a nice breakfast I decided to catch up on the events of the day’s news. . .

I will be getting off of the ship soon as we will be here until Midnight tonight. . .We may be here overnight if we do not go to CoCo Cay tomorrow (Grandeur spent the night in Nassau last week) We have Independence of the Seas with us today from Fort Lauderdale. She is scheduled for Coco Cay on Friday. I may walk around the pier area, or up to the British Colonial Hilton. You never know what you may see or find in Nassau.

Rondell Sheridan, a comedian will be the headliner tonight, the movie “Wonder” will be shown poolside and Majority Rules Game Show is scheduled this evening. I may want to attend the Free touch ups with beauty experts on board.

Here are a few from this morning. . .

Hi Radio,

Why is Anthem skipping Coco Cay?

Is it weather related?

I'm aware they often skip this port stop but, not typically a day in advance.

Hello everyone and good evening . . . The cancellation of Coco Cay threw a wrench into my plans for tomorrow, but there are many passengers who must feel the same way. I found out much earlier today when I was leaving the ship and the Video Sign read “All passengers must be back on board by 2:30 PM January 25 (tomorrow). The Captain announced it to all passengers when I was at dinner in Silk around 7PM.

Captain Srecko suggested that a strong storm with high winds will be reason that it will be unsafe to tender passengers ashore. He suggested that all money that was paid for excursions or rentals would be credited. I have had this happen with other Royal Caribbean Cruises to Coco Cay, and I am sure the Port fees will be credited as well.

Some passengers are furious but the safety of passengers is the primary concern of the captain. I am not happy about the change but I understand the decision and life goes on for this cruise. Casino Royale opened tonight at 7PM, and should open earlier tomorrow. (It was scheduled to open at 2:30) The shows will continue, and the bars will be open. I am just happy for a few more warm days until we get back on Sunday. I overheard some passengers who will be spending the night at the Atlantis Resort on Paradise Island or the New Baha Mar up on Cable Beach.

Here are a few pics from today. . . Thanks for tuning in.
