Parking in Baltimore and Cape Liberty

Parking at the garage at right at the port at Cape Liberty is very convenient. You drop luggage off with the porters, then drive into the garage. Take the ticket with you to pay when you get back. Leaving, you pay at a machine just outside the garage before going back to get your car. It is $20/day. If anyone cares, it is based on the length (nights) of your cruise, not the actual number on days/part days your car is there. We were on a 9 night cruise and disembarkation day was technically day number 10 our car was in the lot, but we were only charged $180. I know of many parking facilities that would ding you for 10 days and $200.

Thinking about taking one of the cruises to New England/Canada next year. Might drive to the port

anyone know about the parking at either of these ports.

Thanks

1. It will be a lot closer to drive from Tennessee to Baltimore than Tennessee to Bayonne. 2. Parking at Baltimore's cruise port is $15 per day. Parking at Cape Liberty is $20 per day. 3. It's easy at both ports. Sorry about the lack of spacing. This stupid keyboard has a non-functioning "return" bar. (and all of the other computers are occupied.)

We booked the Best Western Plus on O'Donnell St in Baltimore for one night ahead of our 12 day Grandeur sailing on 2/10. Price is $149 + tax ($10 less for BW members) and includes round trip port shuttle and 12 days parking. Beats $180 for port parking alone.

Have also parked in Bayonne a number of times. Easy in and out.

Best asked in the East Coast departures section. And many have been answered already.

Baltimore port is close to the inner harbor and not too far from the airport. There are stay cruise packages at several hotels.

Parking is $15 per night (the cruise number is actually nights).

You pull in, drop off your luggage at the carts. Then get in line to pay. Once you pay, you can drop off passengers and carry on in front of the terminal, then go park.

The whole parking lot is not very big, so there are no bad spaces and no long walks.

Parking at both ports is rather easy.

Baltimore, you get in line and drive toward the ship...drop off luggage. Then you either go into a line to pay for parking or the other line is to drop off passengers. If you line up to pay...you pay for the parking, then drive past the terminal...you can drop off passengers here if necessary...or proceed to the parking lot. Surface lot. Once parked...you go to the terminal and check in...

In Bayonne..you drive past the terminal and drop off the luggage. Passengers can stop at his point or stay in the vehicle. You then head to the parking garage. when you enter the garage, you get a ticket. Typically, there are garage attendants that direct you to areas where there is abundant parking. Take your parking ticket with you and any carry on luggage and go to the elevator. Then enter the terminal and do the check in process. Post cruise...exit the terminal and on the ground level, there are machines where you pay for your parking. Insert the ticket, you will be given the amount due. You pay by credit card or you can go to a cash machine...you are given a paid ticket. Proceed to the elevator and as you drive off the lot, you will insert the paid ticket into the machine that will lift the gate. Drivers can then proceed out of the terminal area or go back and pick up luggage and passengers in the terminal area.

Country Inn & Suites in Elizabeth.

Quite a few of the nearby hotels that are officially in Elizabeth offer a night's stay with parking for the duration of the cruise. Shuttles may or may not be offered, but Uber/Lyft is also a viable option. Country Inn & Suites offers shuttle service for an extra charge. The place itself is rather........feh.

We thought the Residence Inn was very nice, and while I would expect them to have a park and cruise package, I don't recall specifically if they do.
