Free playing cards??

I was on the Regal in January and got some from the casino cashier, they

were about $2.

If they were the ones with the corners cut off these are old casino cards, better quality than the "free" cards where the games are kept but well used.

They used to hand out free packs of cards, but I haven't seen this for years - maybe eight or so years. They also used to have them as a prize at trivia. Once again, I haven't seen this for years.

Yes, I still have a couple of decks that I won. Ti Many Martoonies cards with 52 different martini recipes on them.

The casino cards are notched, clipped or drilled. They always have a distinct logo printed on the back. Any time we've bought or been given a deck by casino hosts, the design did NOT match those currently in play. (We got a circle-patterned deck, diamond shapes in play).

They're $1 or $2 at the cage -- sometimes the jokers are removed, depends on the protocol of each casino.

Unfortunately, I haven't been to the Regal Princess before, so I can't say for certain whether they offer free playing cards or not. However, it never hurts to ask when you're on board - the worst they can say is no, right? In the meantime, if you're looking for some free card games to play, you might want to check out casualgameplay.com. They have a variety of online games, including different types of solitaire and even tic tac toe, which you mentioned in a previous post. Plus, since they're online, you don't have to worry about packing anything extra for your trip! Regarding casino cards, I can definitely see how the notches and clipped edges would be a turn-off.

Guest relations have playing cards for free. Not the best quality but fine for a bit of holiday fun.

We’ve just had done on Sky Princess 👑

On older ships where they still have a Library, there is normally a cabinet of games and in the cabinet there should be some decks of cards.  If not, ask anyone on CD staff and they will replace with new supply.  And correct - the cards are cheap and do not last long.  We usually bring some.

Years ago you had free playing cards, post cards pens, etc.

Those years are gone.

Never coming back.

Every princess cruise I've been on this year has had free playing cards in the library/game room.  And you can get free pens at the service desk, just ask, they'll give you several if you want.

every cruise ship I have been on recently has done away with free cards ( yes, they are in the game room, but please don't take them away from the room).  Ask at the casino to purchase a deck, usually costs 1 buck.  I too bring my own cards, and leave them in the game room on my last day.

Don't want, don't need. Just posting changes that have happened over the years.

These were provided in your cabin Free without asking.
