My vegas rewards

Recommended Posts

Well i got rejected when i tried to collect the my vegas rewards. I guess i got too great a price. Lol

My rejection:

"Unfortunately, the MyVegas reward that you redeemed is not applicable to your upcoming cruise on the Adventure of the Seas, sailing 04/19/20, reservation*xxxxxxx

The MyVegas rewards are not combinable with the promotional rates applied to your cruise. Please contact your travel agent with any questions regarding these rates. We apologize for any frustration."

This is the first time i ever heard of this. Maybe because i booked so far out??? Or my great price???

Any one else get decline??

Did you try to redeem it within 30 days of booking? These deals are for new bookings within 30 days of booking them. I got one once because a had booked a cruise only 42 days before sailing. I believe you have to have at least 90 days out. Happy Sailing!!!!!

I had it explained that my vegas is not combinable with any other offer. Including a casino offer, a free upgrade offer, a $xxx shipboard credit offer, etc. Also not available if booked by a travel agent.

This was last year.

It used to not be combinable with any offer except resident/police/emt rates, but now they are normally combinable with any rate which is booked online and which is not part of a casino rate, does not have a casino cert applied, and is not part of a travel agent group.

You can use it if it's booked with a TA as long as it's not a group booking.

I booked with a ta, not part of a group booking.

I applied within 5 days of my booking. Basically as soon as it showed up on my crown and anchor.

I had read others got it,booking thru a ta.

Funny you should ask. We booked 2 sailings last week onboard. I applied for 2 certs from MyVegas (one for $50 and one for $100, due to limit of one per amount). I applied the $100 to the longer sailing (in 2020) and got confirmation it was applied. Then I sent the $50 in for the weekend one in November which was the one we applied our 2 Casino certificates for. This reward was rejected saying there are already 2 offers so it could not be combined. No biggie, but free money is always nice.

OP - Did you try calling and speaking to someone? They were very kind and helpful when I had 3 certificates applied in the past year. Here is the info from my email:

If we can be of further assistance, please don’t hesitateto contact us toll-free at 1 888-561-2234. We are available from 8:00am to10:00pm, Monday through Friday, and from 9:00am to 5:30pm, Saturday and Sunday(Eastern/Miami Time). Our toll-free number is accessible from most countries byfirst dialing your country’s Exit Code. If you are unable to reach ourtoll-free number, please call us instead at 1-305-539-6000, between 8:00am and5:00pm Eastern time, Monday through Friday, and ask to be transferred to ClubRoyale, Extension 28586.

I'm very interested in knowing why it was declined, because I'd like to keep using my gold coins. Never spent a cent to play the game, and have $400 in OBC coming. Definitely like getting free OBC. The ones we had applied were combinable with just about anything. We don't get Club Royale rates.

The T&Cs of the certificate today says, in part, "Not available for reservations made through online travel sites....Combinable with standard/full fare rates and restricted rates. Credit is not combinable with any other offer or program." Not sure if these are new/different.

Still, I would think a call might be in order.

Also check with your TA to make sure there was no special TA rate applied to your cruise. If you call or email them back, ask the casino what the promotional rate made the certificate unusable.

Ok called club royale. They stated my ta got a special rate. A promotional rate. And if i wanted that $50 obc (for my first half of a b2b) i could book under their regular rate........ which happens to be $500 more. [emoji32]

So I said thank you very much, I'll keep what i have. Ta also gave $325 obc. Guess i was getting a little greedy. Lol

Those were the same T&Cs as when I redeemed a certificate back on December 21st. I had booked my cruise online through Royal’s regular website 2 week’s earlier.

I waited a few days after Club Royale applied it and sent me a confirmation invoice before I transferred reservation over to TA.

I agree with you and think OP should call. Her TA might have moved her into a group without her knowledge.

EDIT: Just read your post OP. I wonder what would have happened if you had certificate applied first and then transferred to your TA? Anyway, sounds like you got a good deal from TA.

Are myVegas OBC refundable or non-refundable credit? Thanks!

While I don’t know the answer to your question, I wanted to let you know that the OBC does show up in your Cruise Planner so it can be used before your cruise to purchase specialty dining, drink packages or excursions, etc.

Non refundable. I had a few $$ left on the Oasis this week and could not withdraw it. I was able to transfer to my daughters room to help her pay off her balance.

I can't use the rewards either. You can only use them on a cruise booked no more than a year in advance. We absolutely need an accessible room due to my husband's neurological condition and of course for any cruise within a year time frame there are no accessible rooms available. Really makes it discriminatory against people that have physical limitations.

I booked, what for me was a last minute cruise, under 60 days. After booking i tried using the 10%, and $100 obc.

I got a call a few hours later, they could issue my obc, but not my 10% Only one offer allowed. And something about my ta would have to try the 10% if i chose that offer.

They did admit the terms ate constantly changing they can't keep up.
