My vegas rewards

Has anyone done the Wild Card 10% Discount? I'm trying to figure out what the 10% discount applies to.

Thanks.

tom

The 10% applies to the cost of the cruise minus the taxes and port charges. You need to get the MyVegs discount code before you book.

I just did it this week. I got the MyVegas discount code after I booked the cruise and they still applied it. The e-mail says "Must be redeemed within 30 days of a new cruise reservation and is subject to availability. Limited to sail dates within one year of redemption. One reward redemption per booking (stateroom)."

When I tried to use the code I got a message from someone at Club Royale that said the reward must be used for a sailing before December 2018. (Our sailing is October 2019). I pointed out to this person that the MyVegas website said the sailing must be before December 2019. The Club Royale rep told me the information on the website was incorrect. I then contacted MyVegas and was told the info on the website is correct and I was given incorrect information by the Club Royale rep. I again contacted the ClubRoyale rep who basically said too bad. She was pretty rude in her communications to me. The person at MyVegas is still trying to clarify the issue and I have spoken with someone in Royal Caribbean corporate offices about making things a little more fair for people needing to book accessible rooms because that is always going to be outside of the one year time frame on the website.for reward redemption. It will be interesting to see how it all plays out.

You need to book through the casino, Club Royal, using MyVegas rewards. New bookings only. The terms say must be used within 30 days of purchase. I think they mean purchasing the reward itself. You will not get any other casino comps with this reward but you will get the OBC that is associated with the cruise you book. It says must be redeemed and booked by December 30, 2019 so up until that date only. 2020 cruises do not apply.

I used a 10% discount for my 2019 cruise. I still got the OBC. The 10% is off the price before taxes fees and discounts are applied.

I have always booked only through Club Royal with any offers and have never had any problem.

I forgot about myvegas when we booked 2 months ago. I tried using a reward anyways and was rejected because 30 days had past. They mentioned they’d reprice the cruise if in my favor, which it isn’t. So I canceled my reward and will try again some other time.

kind of bummed, but I figured it was going to be a long shot.

How did you cancel the reward?  I purchased the 10% reward and found other option with 10% so I tried to cancel the reward but there is not an option to cancel that particular reward.  I have canceled other before so I know there are options but not for the 10%.

@gochina You email the myvegas app people.

Just give the the code you got and they will refund you. I did this the other week. I was hoping that I could use the reward even though my 30 days from the "new booking" had been more like 70!

Hi all, just got rejected for 100$ OBC for my Explores OTS cruise in July 2020, the reasoning being that my booking was made through a TA (which is indeed the only autohrised TA in Greece for Royal Caribbean, and the only practical way to book) and it was an individual (not group) booking with exacly the same rate as on RC's website. Fun fact being that last year I did succesfully redeem the same offer (50$ OBC) with a booking made through exactly the same TA!

I did e-mail Club Royal asking them why there was this change (forwarding them last years correspondence), only to receive a responde repeating the T&C's (ONLY VALID FOR NEW RESERVATIONS MADE THROUGH ROYAL CARIBBEAN RESERVATIONS AT
       clubroyale@rccl.com.)

In any case I e-mailed them again the following, I am curious as to what they will respond....

Dear XXXX,

Thank you indeed for getting back to me and reminding me of the MyVegas Reward Terms and Conditions. Please note that I am aware of the specific term #4, however I do fail to understand the reasoning behind it, especially since my booking has been made through an official channel and with exactly the same rate as available directly through RC.
I acknowledge of course that you and your colleagues do not make the rules.

In this respect, please accept my apology in advance for pursuing this matter further, but I would be grateful if you could forward this correspondence to your Management Team and kindly ask them to get back to me with their feedback on the following questions, keeping in mind that the issue at hand is not the actual OBC (which is a very small fraction of what we will be spending anyway, and I have already refunded the MyVegas rewards purchase) but more a matter of principle:

1. Why is there such discrimination between customers, especially taking into account that my booking was made through the official Royal Caribbean representative in Greece, and at exactly the same rate as available on Royal Caribbean's website?
2. Is it really worth it causing disappointment and frustration especially to loyal Royal Caribbean customers (this will be my 3rd cruise with RC in 2 years and 5th overall) for 100$ OBC, which would have been applied should I had made my reservation directly through Royal Caribbean  and not their official Travel Agent in Greece?
3. What effect does RC's Management team consider that this disappointing event will have on the customer's overall  on board spending and future loyalty to Royal Caribbean? Take into account that one of the added incentives for my wife and I to select RC for this cruise was the assumption -based on the fact thal on our last cruise the MyVegas OBC offer was honoured-  that we would have an extra 200$ OBC since we both play MyVegas and both attempted to redeem points for OBC. Of course  the expected additional OBC was not the deciding factor, but it did help to "pull the trigger" as they say.

I cc this e-mail o Crown and Anchor also, since I believe that this matter could affect Customer Loyalty, and I have been a loyal customer for 15 years. A simple Google search on the matter will reveal that I am not the only disappointed customer with regards to the MyVegas offer, and it is the first time I have been diasappointed by RC which has exceeded my expectations each and every cruise so far. So please understand my frustration. Maybe it would be better not to have this offer  available in the first place if it were to be so restricted. Nobody would blame RC for not offering this, but it is much worse to offer it and then deny it using such restrictive T&C's.

I would like to thank you for your patience, and I am looking forward to your Management Team's feedback.

Kind regards,

I had it explained that my vegas is not combinable with any other offer. Including a casino offer, a free upgrade offer, a $xxx shipboard credit offer, etc. Also not available if booked by a travel agent.

This was last year.

I have a cruise coming up in Nov, booked around 90 days out.  By a TA.  i used myvegas and got $200 obc.

i didnt get a casino deal, and it wasnt a superspecial offer, just one of those ones they have from time to time ie 50% off second person etc.  Also had FL resident and over 55.

So you can use a TA (but i didnt do it thru the AT) and i did it around one week after booking, within the 90 day window.

Honestly, it Just depends.

i was able to use a mvegas reward on a cruise I had OBC for but a friend on the same cruise wasn’t. I think it had to do with they booked earlier and the time frame wasn’t considered a new booking. I think I just changed room categories to bypass that. It refreshes your booking date.

if you spend your myvegas points and it doesn’t work, you get your points back, so it’s worth a try.

Well i got rejected when i tried to collect the my vegas rewards. I guess i got too great a price. Lol

My rejection:

"Unfortunately, the MyVegas reward that you redeemed is not applicable to your upcoming cruise on the Adventure of the Seas, sailing 04/19/20, reservation*xxxxxxx

The MyVegas rewards are not combinable with the promotional rates applied to your cruise. Please contact your travel agent with any questions regarding these rates. We apologize for any frustration."

This is the first time i ever heard of this. Maybe because i booked so far out??? Or my great price???

Any one else get decline??

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using Tapatalk

The only time I was declined, was because I was attached to a group.  My Vegas has become VERY  restrictive.  Almost to the point of NOT worth it anymore
