New Amex offer $100 off $500 today (11/20/18) through 3/31/19

I did my daily Amex offer check this morning and found the World’s Largest Cruise Lines offer to spend $500 and get a $100 statement credit.  Good on Carnival, Princess, Holland America, Seaboard or Cunard.

Is there any way to take advantage of the offer if your cruise is already paid in full? Like will buying cruise cash trigger the reward?

Thanks so much for letting us know about this!  I had to dig around a bit but I was able to take advantage of it.  And I don't have to use it until my final payment is due!  That's a better deal than the AARP cards!

I got it on two cards but it is spend $500 get 10K points.  End result is the same but odd how they do that.

I have used this offer with Holland America but not with Carnival.  Does it work the same way?  I have a cruise booked with Carnival.  Can I call my TA and just make a $500 payment (and receive a $100 credit)?

I don't know about this offer/this time ... but earlier this year the offer worked on my Delta Amex on a Princess cruise I just took in October.

Has anyone used this more than once on the same card?  I booked a couple months ago for a May 2019 cruise.  The AMEX offer at the time was (IIRC) a 10,000 points credit for a $700 purchase on Carnival.  Can I now use this offer towards another payment or purchase of the Cheers package?

When I went into my card account and scanned the offers, I found some good ones to add, but there was not one for the cruise line.

It appears on my cards every time so you can use it for an additional payment on your cruise.  You cannot use it for Cheers because that is charged by the fun shops and doesn't apply.
