WI-Cruiser Posted February 11, 2019 #1 Share Posted February 11, 2019 Starting final prep for our upcoming Symphony cruise and wondering if uploading pictures in advance actually speeds up embarkation. Thoughts/experiences?
Ashland Posted February 11, 2019 #2 Share Posted February 11, 2019 No...not really....we've seen so many (at different terminals) being told that their uploaded pic would have to be retaken. So don't worry about this as it only takes a min for them to snap one.
Ken at the beach Posted February 11, 2019 #3 Share Posted February 11, 2019 FYI they have changed the photo requirements, you are now asked to upload a high resolution image. For our cruise in March it would not accept the photos that we used for our December cruise.
kenzie Posted February 11, 2019 #4 Share Posted February 11, 2019 I uploaded photos for our HOS cruise last month, they took new ones at check in. No point in wasting your time
queenfrostine22 Posted February 11, 2019 #5 Share Posted February 11, 2019 Each time we have uploaded them they have been retaken during check in. Now I don't bother.

Green Recruit Posted February 11, 2019 #7 Share Posted February 11, 2019 We don't even bother anymore. They always retake at the port anyway... Teri
HicksRA Posted February 11, 2019 #8 Share Posted February 11, 2019 They used our preloaded pics on the Symphony TA in October. We walked right up, they scanned our SS passes on my app and we were on our way to board. Couldnt have been quicker. Why not take it and perhaps save some time, or nothing lost if they do a retake.
sunnyv Posted February 12, 2019 #9 Share Posted February 12, 2019 They used our preloaded pics on the Anthem last month (Jan 2019).
bouhunter Posted February 12, 2019 #10 Share Posted February 12, 2019 (edited) Taking them at check in is about 3 seconds per person. Edited February 12, 2019 by bouhunter
JulieMcCoy Posted February 12, 2019 #11 Share Posted February 12, 2019 They used our preloaded pics for our Jan. 13 Allure cruise from Miami. Very easy. We watched a nearby family having photos taken - took them much longer than for us.

Yvonne Posted February 12, 2019 #13 Share Posted February 12, 2019 I did our online check in for our Oasis Cruise a few days ago, didn’t even see anything about uploading pictures for the set sail pass.

Joseph2017China Posted February 12, 2019 #16 Share Posted February 12, 2019 If all directions are followed with your picture upload, there is no problem, and it is faster at check in. I have no issues with the process.
