Biker19 Posted February 20, 2019 #2 Share Posted February 20, 2019 Flying to Haiti is different from sailing to Labadee.

suesnake2002 Posted February 20, 2019 #7 Share Posted February 20, 2019 There are two live reviews going on now. Both went to labadee (Haiti), with no problems, in the past few days.
gatour Posted February 20, 2019 #8 Share Posted February 20, 2019 As discussed in another thread. Labadee is in a relatively remote and sparsely populated part of Haiti. Most of the local residents have ties to Labadee i.e. jobs etc.

lcpagejr Posted February 20, 2019 #11 Share Posted February 20, 2019 Everyone needs to "chill".... RCL will not stop at a port where there is unrest. Too much liability implications for company. A year or 2 ago with the unrest in Cancun/Cozumel (ferry explosions).... a similar warning was sent out from Govt. Cruise lines continued to stop at the ports. 216Cruiser Posted February 21, 2019 #12 Share Posted February 21, 2019 We were there via the Allure last Friday, Feb 15th, a day or so after the warning came out. We were completely unaware of the warning at the time. We went to Amiga Island (highly recommended) and the people there were not RC workers but locals either way and were maybe the friendliest people we've met in quite awhile. I've felt way unsafer in plenty of other places including our own hometown so...

That is, until screaming natives brandishing machetes come storming through the woods directly into Labadee, I bet the mood changes then.
