Recommendations for Embarkation Day Lunch?

Hello - first time on Oasis class ship, with many more choices for lunch when first getting on the ship. We’ve usually just headed to the Windjammer along with the masses, although getting on early helps some.  We will have our under-seater-sized carry-on rollers with us. What alternatives would you recommend on the Harmony?  Dinner will be at Chops that night.

Park Cafe.  Solarium Cafe.

Solarium Cafe.  Less crowds, healthier alternatives, great view, always plenty of seating.

Another vote for the Kummelweck sandwich at Park Café.

 

It marks the start of our cruise vacation.

Definitely.  We avoid WJ embarkation day like the plague.  Plus we enjoy the food much more at Park Cafe and Solarium Bistro.

Yes!  You can get it au jus, horseradish or both.  Delicious!

Yes, there are vegetarian options at Park Cafe and Solarium Cafe.

Park Café has a salad bar too - you point and they put it in your bowl.  Of course, the salad is best accompanied by a yummy roast beef sandwich.😜

 

there are also pre-made panini options - though I can't recall if they had meat or not.

One thing I noticed on our last cruise - Park Café no longer has chip bags.  you used to be able to get a back of sun chips or lays to go with your sandwich.  They did not have these on Symphony.

Wonder if the chip-hoarders who walk away with as many bags as they can carry have caused a policy change?

Hoarders are gonna hoard.  One day, a lady beside me asked for 6 oranges in a bowl (at Park Café).  Hopefully the fresh fruit isn't the next to go 🙄

Thanks!  Bucky loves his hot dogs, but we still have not tried Boardwalk yet.  We keep hitting it at the wrong time.
