Tea bags on the Indy.....

Just doing the last bit of packing ahead of getting on the Indy on Saturday.

It's been a few years since we last sailed on Rccl and I can't remember what type of tea bags they have in the rooms and windjammer.

I normally take some of my own just in case as I hate Liptons.

If that the bag of choice i'll pack a few more of my preferred Tetley ones.

Thanks Jules

I second the take your own.  They MAY have what you want, but my experience has been that what's available is inconsistent, and they frequently run out of my preference before the end of the cruise.

Plus it's not as if there's a huge weight penalty for carrying tea bags.

thanks all.

plan on taking some of my own anyway as I drink redbush with vanilla and I don't know of any ship that has those onboard.

but i'll not take as many as I do drink normal English tea to.

There is Twinings Redbush, green tea, breakfast tea,Earl Grey tea, lemon tea, peppermint tea on board as well as standard Tetley tea.

I always take my own tea.  Invariably they run out of what I want by the 4th or 5th day.  So lightweight and it doesn't take up much space if you just put them in a plastic bag rather than bringing the box.  Any you don't drink can go back in the box when you get home.

Oh drats...have not cruised since June, but loved the previous change to "The London Tea company".  Are those gone now again?

I will take a photo of the tea bags on Explorer.

I usually have a good collection of tea bags next to the kettle in our cabin.

Pauline prefers hot chocolate.

I don't use the ones they supply in the cabin...usually the old ones that are over stock from dining room and WJ.  😉

I collect a few in the DL/CL/SL or the WJ to use.  Really love the London Tea company tea.  Hope to see them again.

I am the same,I collect the tea bags from DL/CL and windjammer.

I particularly like Earl Grey tea which has a nice Bergamot taste.

We were on Adventure out of New York a few weeks ago and being from the UK we were very surprised to find the tea bags were from The London Tea Company in cafe promenade and Windjammer.

if you like herbal and fruit teas we noticed the selection had greatly improved from our last cruise a couple of years ago.

Thanks!  Hoping that is still the choice on other ships.  🙂

In all staterooms on cruises out of the UK and Australia, otherwise just suites.

Ah, I see. I thought it was too good to be true! 😄  We are tea drinkers but will be departing from Fort Lauderdale.

Yes always on departures from Southampton England.

Not enough tea drinkers in America, I suppose. 🙂

Why not ask your cabin steward to get you a kettle?

Several times from Barcelona and Dubai I have asked our CS and they have obliged.
