Pumbaamd Posted January 5, 2020 #3 Share Posted January 5, 2020 Wicked rain and winds have passed thru the area this evening, causing some delays going up the bay. Grandeur is stopped just south of the Rt. 50 bridge in Annapolis. Rick
breezy_carol Posted January 5, 2020 #4 Share Posted January 5, 2020 Someone posted this on Facebook about today's departure. Sailing at 2 to avoid weather but after muster the Captain announced that, due to weather, we will be sitting in the Chesapeake Bay tomorrow, sea day on Monday (supposed to be Port Canaveral), Coco Cay on Tuesday, Port Canaveral on Wednesday then two sea days back to Baltimore skipping Nassau entirely

BND Posted January 5, 2020 #8 Share Posted January 5, 2020 Cruisers on Grandeur were informed a couple of weeks ago that they would be leaving early on Jan 4. This was planned based on the anticipated weather.
boscobeans Posted January 5, 2020 #9 Share Posted January 5, 2020 A bit rough out there. https://www.surf-forecast.com/weather_maps/United-States?over=none&symbols=breaks.forecast.dots&type=htsgw&fbclid=IwAR2ymUVN6A9sR9fECsdg3ijQN3qCdQUeSMFriyBqafgEyseuvMTi8wpAYaI
Rare mskaufman Posted January 5, 2020 #10 Share Posted January 5, 2020 We were on the ship two weeks ago and it was so windy that they closed all outside decks. We got to all ports but there was torrential rain in the afternoon on Coco Cay.
