"The sky is falling!"🐥🐥

This week Aldi have Budweiser and Bud Light on special(?). $10.99 4 pack 473ml.

For balance they also have Steinhauser Lager $18.99 12 pack 330ml. I know what I would prefer.

I can have the odd Budweiser as it is low gluten, made with rice, bit of barley and hops. I don't mind the taste.  It cannot be advertised as low gluten here, but in USA it can. Sweetish beer, but drink it from the bottle as when poured it has very little head.  It is made under licence here, so no longer an American beer.  If the aldi one is in those metal long necks you get on the ships, that could be US produced.

The only real good thing about Budweiser is the Clydesdales, They also used to sponsor a very cool unlimited Hydroplane. It's okay I will drink it which is more than I can say about Molson Canadian or Kokanee. I won't drink those 2 popular Canadian Beers I would rather have water.

I watched a documentary about the Budweiser factory somewhere in the Midwest.

What a massive factory. Freight trains bumper to bumper ,a 6 lane road full of trucks.

All transporting the beer.
That’s what I call entertainment while have a few .

My dad is a proud member of the local Ulysses Motorcycle Club. He rides a Suzuki GS1100, with a sidecar engineered and built by he and his best friend. He calls it glamping now, he has just bought a car fridge that fits in the sidecar and has also just recently added a camp stretcher to his gear, as getting down on the ground into a swag was just getting too hard!

He is finding the longer rides a bit tough now, so sometimes takes his four wheel drive and caravan instead, but still manages one or two trips a year up to station country in northern South Australia.

Dad will be 91 next month.

How wonderful to still be enjoying glamping on a motorbike at your dad's age.  I hope you have inherited his good genes.

I enjoy walking through caravan parks and camping grounds checking out unique set ups.  Most campers enjoy a chat and are happy to share their knowledge.

The Clydesdale are based in St. Louis and I think the big brewery is there too. I watched a show about the Stable in town (as opposed to the farm). That is one classy barn.

Unless he manages to fit ensuite shower and toilet facilities into his sidecar it isn't glamping, it's just basic camping.

When I was in Vancouver in 2006, doing the Inside passage cruise and a week in Van, I tried the Molson, from memory it was pretty ordinary.

Sounds like luxury camping.  I guess he'd have to book in to a caravan park for a shower and use public or hotel toilets.

I met an elderly couple doing their last big trip to the Cape.  Everything had to fit in their vehicle.  They had a big tent called Buckingham Palace for longer stays and a small tent for overnights.  They said hotel owners were generous if you ate and drank there.  With the money they saved, they took flights over all famous sights.  (Thanks to them we did a flight over Wilpena Pound.)

Carlton United Breweries here have the Clydesdales for promo work, I escorted them around Sydney a couple of times. I just checked one of my 330ml bottles of 'Aussie Bud', brewed by Carlton and United Breweries, Southbank, Melbourne, under supervision and licence of Anheuser-Busch, Budweiser Gurus.

Budweiser - King of Beers it says on the label, not sure about that, but any beer is better than no beer, in my my case.

Uncle Les I have to disagree, as I said earlier there are 2 Canadian beers that this self respecting Canadian won't drink that others seem to enjoy (I'm sure they are nice people for the most part other than their poor judgement about beer)

Yes mate, understand, but I cannot drink just any beer, because of the gluten contained there in. So I have a Bud once or twice a week, it has been tested as low gluten.

Carlton also brew the Miller Genuine Draft under licence, here.  Several former imported beers now brewed here, inc Guinness, bottles, cans, draught, but not the 440ml widget cans, they still come from Dublin.

I understand Les, when your options are limited because of Gluten sometimes you have to choose the least evil of the available choices. Plus I'm guessing that you locally brewed Bud doesn't cost nearly as much as Brother Normans all organic gluten free mystery brew at $10.00 for a 333ml bottle.

Your getting into touch territory here Lyle.

Can any one come up with a better beer add?
