Refund processing time tracking thread (October 2020 and beyond)

I’m at the two week point today and still no refund. I’m checking my AMEX account like every 30 mins. Lol

 

I booked through a TA and I submitted the refund form myself online on December 2nd and printed out the confirmation page. 
 

Maybe tomorrow? 😞

There are several factors at play that determine the length of time for a refund of both cruise fares and cruise planner purchases. 
 

For  the vast majority of cases if you cancel a sailing or cruise planner purchases those refunds come very quickly.

 

If Royal cancels the cruise then the refunds are taking longer.

 

If Royal cancel and you were booked in a group it can take longer still.

TA requested refund Dec 6th for a Feb 20th cruise Royal cancelled and today received all cash paid on credit card.  I also had a small FCC put towards that cruise from something I cancelled previously.  That'll be coming back in FCC and I haven't seen anything on that yet but I'm not in any hurry for that.

 

My refund showed up on my CC in 6 different credits completely unrelated to any invoice amount or way that I paid off the cruise,  That being said, it was to the penny correct.

Nice.  Now if I could only get my refund....maybe I need a new TA.🤣

HAL cancelled our cruise which was to depart Dec. 19, 2020.  They asked us if we wanted the FCC or a refund.  We decided we wanted the refund.  The form was submitted to HAL on Nov. 3rd by our TA.  We still do not have our refund. So, I disputed the transaction with my Credit Card company this morning.  Why?  Because if you wait too long, you can’t even do that! $10,000 plus is a lot of money.

Got my refund last night for my canceled 2/21/21 Harmony cruise. It was a casino comp, but I paid for upgrade, taxes, fees. It was posted as five credits, but the total was right. I booked through the casino folks....

The funds were backed off my card the next day.  No word from HAL.  They still owe me $800 which was the deposit.

Got my cruise refund on December 18th but we still have not received the refund for our cruise planner purchases (shore ex and internet). I got an email earlier this month saying they would be refunded but they still haven’t. 
 

Has anyone else experienced something similar?
