Will RCCL cancel May before my final payment?

So, my final payment is due 12th February for a cruise going from Barcelona (I live in Spain), what do you think the odds are that Royal will announce the next round of cancellations before then? When did they announce April's cancellations?

I have to make final payment we have none refundable deposits

Probably not.  I expect them to cancel sometime the first part of March

You can get an FCC now for the full amount of your deposit even if it was NRD.

Biker, who would make final payment and take the refund.

I will make the final payment and get the refund, I already have four other cruises booked in 2021/2022 so if this one doesn't go ahead I'll take the money and run

We just did the same for our May cruise. We much prefer getting the refund instead of another FCC.

Hello,

My first choice will be L&S to May 2022 and if that is not offered then I'll take the refund.

2022, ex Southampton, is up to 45% more than 2021.

Regards,

Cublet

Honestly if the Harmony of the Seas was going from Barcelona next year I would have done L&S too but we only really fancied that one or Symphony.  My son is booked in a Virtual balcony and they don't have them on the Allure

Now we wait.  I am afraid to ask for a refund on that one.  We have a $500 payment on it from Royal's insurance that I am afraid we would lose if we don't take the FCC.

Which I presume would also sweep up any FCCs into the refund that had been applied to that cruise.

The FCC portion would only be refundable if it was from an RCI cancelation.

True. I think the OP was referencing a May 2021 cruise, given the final payment date quoted. So if there were FCCs on that cruise and RCL cancels May, then the FCCs would roll up into the refund.

Only if the FCC came from a sailing that Royal cancelled previously would it be refunded.

FCC's that originated as a result of a customer cancellation CWC are never refunded...even if the cruise line cancels the cruise they were applied to.  They are reinstated.

Our surely to be canceled May 1 cruise had a final payment on January 31. I paid it off so that I can get a cash refund when it eventually cancels
