I test all the ones we have received for our facility, maybe 200. Not one has ever registered 98.6. Always lower. It should measure body temperature not skin temperature. We had temperature checks on our sailing last year, we certainly covered the hot environment, food and alcohol consumption (but probably not the exercise) all mentioned above and it didn't impact our temperature reading. kidless Posted April 12, 2021 #8 Share Posted April 12, 2021 Went to concert in St Augustine last weekend they took a temperature check. We were talking to the guy doing them. He was using something looked similar to a radar guy police use. He told us in the thousands of concerts and people he’s tested never once has anyone had a fever.
