Valentine's Day - MDR vs Speciality Dining

We have never been on a cruise when this special day comes around.

Does the MDR have a special menu in the evening?

Do the Speciality restaurants do something different to their usual rotation of menus?

Just wondering as we're on Ventura next Valentine's.  I had a brainwave of treating us to the Epicurean as we've never done that before.

Thanks

We were on Oceana on Valentine's Night last year.

Just looked in my diary - we ate in the MDR, table for two, but no mention of a special menu.

The Epicurean would be a nice idea, but I suspect it would be packed out. Perhaps go the night before or after the 14th, and get better service, and eat in the MDR on the day itself with a bottle of Champagne?

SOA. we were on Ventura Feb 2020 and booked Epicurian on 14th.

It was fabulous, do go.  But try and book as early as poss. We were on

the 35 day New Orleans cruise which left on 11 Feb.  But booked

way before on board so was sure to get a table. Cannot recommend

it enough.

You can book it online on your cruise personaliser.

Thanks Wowzz & Silkworms.

I did think that it may be a good idea to book in advance, thanks for confirming that that is the case.

I'll watch out for when Cruise Personaliser allows booking and go for it.  The Ole Lady will be very surprised!!

If you have never eaten in the Epicurean before, you won’t need any special Valentines arrangements, the normal experience and the quality of the food will be special. Take the advice and book as early as you can.

The Epicurean would be a lovely treat on Valentine's night.

It is a nice treat on any night.

This was Epicurean on Ventura.

You could have asked that couple to move out of the way so we could see more of the restaurant...😉😀
