So I'm on Odyssey, July 11th out of Ft. Lauderdale (changed from Indy)... do you REALLY think I can start getting my hopes up??? I'm ridiculously excited if I can.

I know, the way things have been this COVID year, I keep thinking , Wait until you have an invoice and a cabin assignment before you celebrate!

Yeah I saw the Mariner test cruise is Aug 11-13 and the first revenue cruise is Aug 23rd  Not a whole lot of time to get approval after the test

Why does it take so long to issue a FCC? I really wish they could take the cancelled booking and apply it for whatever cruise you find right now. I'm not dumping additional thousands into their revenue stream until the FCC comes in, which unfortunately will mean I don't sail as early as I hoped, if they do sail the ones I'm looking at!

My Canada/NE 9 night Freedom cruise for Oct 2021 was put on hold by RCI months ago. When I received the email I called and easily had my 125% deposit moved to a newly booked cruise...no problem....didn't have to wait for the FCC.

Just got the official email it had been cancelled but luckily I already had it taken care of.

So contact whoever made your booking (in my case it was done directly with RCI) have the booking number from the cancelled cruise and book what you want....no need to wait.

Honestly this is all for show. Cdc is going to rubber stamp all these cruises as soon as they are back in port. Its just theater.......

When you call to request the FCC you can tell them you want to use it on a new booking right away. They will work with the new booking department to put an extension on the final pay date.

My oasis cruise was canceled, I called, requested the FCC, booked an August Allure cruise, and my final payment isn’t due until  after the FCC will come in.

Interesting, I called the Casino line and they said it will take 3 weeks for the FCC to be issued. My issue is I was trying to book an August sailing, so full payment would be due now.

Yeah. This is the second time I’ve cancelled and replaced with a cruise past final payment date. Both times they have given the extension. I would call back and ask for someone higher up.

So our July 25 out of Miami / is now on the Odyssey out of Fort Lauderdale .

Which is a bit of a ??? Inconvenience being We have a flight and hotel coming into Miami a day early ! As well as their unable to tell us yet if our Excursions are being carried over !

I'm sure people are excited to be cruising again .

Guess you could say We are just waiting to see where we end up , one way or another !

Hope everyone's having a  nice night !

J.L.

I was told that all purchases will be refunded to the original form of payment.

~ Yes / We where also given the generic answer ! Yet it doesn't get Us the Cabaña we had at the price we already paid in full for ! We aren't looking for a refund / We are looking to have the Cruise style and Excursions that We already paid in full for !

By them saying Cancelled / Doesn't mean Available ! And I just got off with a RCCL representative . Who informed Me that the updated changes would be today ...

So now all we can do is wait , wait and oh yeah wait !  and go from there !

Hope your having a nice day !

Same here.  It really stinks!  I did get confirmation this morning that they were canceled and being refunded.  We were able to rebook some things this morning but at a much higher price.

Any chance Explorer goes in for her amplification, since she won't be back in service until late September at the earliest (as of right now)?

If you ran the business, would you spend $100M, when there's virtually no net money coming in?

I wouldn't. Just interesting with the timeline seeming to push Explorer back further.
