We were in a GS, bid $260pp and got an OS.  Probably could have bid less, but within the group I’m aware of, we were the first to get it, and got the hump cabin, so I’m thrilled

That’s amazing! So happy for you. Enjoy every moment and thank you for sharing.

One last question, did you notice if your other bids (if you made any) went to expired and the one you received stayed pending?

Yes I went from ocean view balcony to larger balcony.  I have resubmitted it over 10 times and it keeps getting cancelled.

I called RCI again yesterday about this issue and was told to email royal up directly and explain the problem.  We did not get a response to the email, but we tried submitting bids again about 6 hours later and this time it seems to be working...it has been 18 hours and nothing has been cancelled yet.

royalup@rccl.com

Maybe that will work for you too?

We made bids for Star Calss suites and part of our calcualtions was that if we get one we can then cancel teh ultimate dining package we have paid for...bringing the price into somehting we are comfortable with.

Can anyone tell me how close to sialing we can cancel the Ultimate Dining Package (that should be easy to find info, but I am clearly not googling the right temrs and not finding it).  I am a little worried they might accept the bid at the very last moment and then say it is too late to cancel the pacakge.  Or, in such a circumstance would they work with us anyway?

If you get Star Class, your Genie will take care of it if you don’t get notified with 48-72 hours before sail away.
Usually, you can cancel any extras beforehand up until they close the manifest.

The planner usually closes for transactions 3 days out.

thanks.  So, hopefully we know at least 4 days out and can cancel.  Otherwise I guess we have to cross our fingers and hope the Genie really does take care of it if we luck into having one of our bids accepted

You can always cancel planner items on board but you'll end up with OBC instead of direct refund - actually, considering the speed with which RCI processes refunds, your cash out on board at the casino will likely be faster.

That's good to know. OBC would be better than just wasting it alltogether.

I have never done more than walk through the casino....have to look into this cash out option.  Thanks again.

If you change yourself from a balcony to a JS, how long does it take for Royal Up to resend out the new minimum bid pricing?

You can go directly to royaluup link if it’s updated yet

but I heard several mentioned they have trouble w royalup after upgrading

So I cruise on Sunday...I only put one royal up for the 2 bedroom GS and it still says pending but I can modify so I am assuming it doesn't mean anything.  I am getting anxious!!!

I sail on Sunday too and I have 3 bids and all still say pending.  The link to most is live as well.

Yes, the Genie will do this but just be aware that if you (or the Genie) cancels your packages after boarding, they will be returned to you as OBC rather than cash back to your credit card.

I only had one bid so it was always pending until the little header changed from “pending” to “upgraded”, but a few others did experience the situation of only one bid left pending while the rest expired, and got confirmed for the pending cabin category.

We embark on Saturday and got our upgrades yesterday— so maybe today is your day!

It took about 4 days for us, give or take (I didn’t actually count, just know it was a few days)

I wanted to add that the email came as a cancellation of our original bids, and in the email was a sentence about here are new offers, with a link.  The link takes you to a sign in page (basic Royal up page) where you put in your last name and reservation number and it brings up your new bid opportunities.  So you should try just putting that info in the general Royal Up page after a couple days and see if it allows you to bid based on your new cabin category

This is what I’m hoping for too. 🤞🏼

Were you able to still modify it before it changed???

It sounds like most of these winning Royal Up's have happened pretty close to sail date, is that true?  How far out from sail date has anyone heard that their bid was accepted?

Unless someone bid very high on an upgrade and they were out of the class of room that same person had…  I see no motivation for RCCL to process anything early.
