John Heald posted videos of some cabins on the Mardi Gras yesterday. Yes, the shower does have the soap and shampoo dispenser.

Thank you sooo much for that timely reply. I just found out we're 1-1 now, kept the bathroom dispensers (won) but lost Grand Turk 😞 not that I'm complaining, but we've already been to Nassau twice, just make the best of it because NOTHING could ruin the cruise...well canceling would definitely do that (keeping fingers crossed) hopefully that won't happen.

Very sorry. I’m not too familiar with the casino at all. I played some slots, put in about 30 bucks, accidentally hit max bet on some machine, lost my money. Was done. Lmao.

The blackjack tables are all automatic shufflers.

Honestly, I have no clue. However, whenever I went by to grab a Propel (did some

heavy drinking) they had a massive assortment of yummy desserts, ranging from fancy donuts to super stuffed massive cupcakes and assorted cakes. I was super tempted by the bacon donuts honestly. But all my carbs were going to beer. Hardly any low carb options when it comes to beer/seltzer’s on the ship. Pretty sure I drank them all and the “hidden” keg of Heineken.

Do you have to pay for these yummy desserts?

Sadly yes. However! Tons of amazing free massive desserts on lido. From huge funfetti cheese cake slices to gelato with cold stone style toppings! You will not be disappointed.

thats not what they asked... they asked was there any issues using OBC in the casino.. i didn't have any issues using mine.

Houst asked if you could use your OBC in the casino, followed by a smiley face, implying to me that they wanted to know if they could cash out the 600.  I'm cynical.

Do you remember the price of beer?  Do they still sell buckets?  One more question did any bars have a "happy hour'?

No idea about the price of beer since I had Cheers. They definitely still sell buckets. I didn’t notice a happy hour anywhere unfortunately.

At any time: pre-boarding, at ports of call or before embarkation; did they do CoVid testing?  I saw on another board that this was being done.  All 4 of us have been vaccinated.

we were vaccinated and never tested.  But you have to know things are changing daily, what happened on this weeks cruise may very well be different next week.  Especially with the number of cases in Florida right now.

You are correct. But I plan on going to Guest Services every day to pick up a paper copy, no matter if it's a PITA. For the memories, don't you know. :classic_wink:

Does anyone know where the fun times paper copies are located on the Forum? I still like to look at those.

Thanks

I don't know if this was asked or not?

What are the procedures for Boarding?

Do they ask for your completed Vaccine Cards?

Do they Covid Test passengers prior to boarding?

What questions were asked on the Medical Forms prior to sailing?

Just trying to be totally prepared for getting back out to Sea safely.

Thanks

You volunteer the cards when you show them your passport.   If you're  vaccinated,  the only time you're tested is if you're on a B2B. No idea what hoops the unvaccinated 5% have to jump through.

So no covid cases only on the other cruise line. Go carnival for sanitizing and the crew members and the passengers for wearing masks even though some didn't but still I haven't seen a comment on a covid case so I'm proud of carnival.

There are posts on this forum about people contracting Covid on Carnival ships.

Do you know f they have different beers at different bars.   I think it was Fosters they used to have in a large can.

Whoa! Sorry folks, for whatever reason I wasn’t getting notifications that people were still commenting on this thread. Bad Cruise Critic!  Uhm, as far as fosters goes, i didn’t see it once. However I do know some bars do carry different beers, especially on tap. Example. Tides bar aft on lido; they carried a local Florida beer called Matte Black, which was a coffee brewed beer, and as far as I know, no other bar carried it. If ya get a chance, give it a try, was light, tasty, and yummy! Havana had the Parched Pig IPA and Heineken on draft. No other bar had Heineken on draft. But if ya go to Pig and Anchor they have all the pig stuff, like the Amber, the stout, and the ipa on draft. So yeah, it varies. I personally think it was due to supply. But who knows.

Just wondering, I've never been on the newer ships with the brewery/pub sooo I'm not sure what they have or don't have on draft. My wife can't have alcohol any more but I'm pretty sure they have bottled NA beer cause she had a few on the Dream. Back in our younger days we were big fans of a local brewpub in Vegas and we loved  IPA on draft. We're on the Mardi Gras in Sept and I don't know if they'll have a NA beer on draft, does anybody know if the other ships have a draft NA beer ? Probably not, but I thought Id ask.

Thanks for any info,

As far as I know, there isn’t any NA on draft. It’s a very limited selection as is. At least on the Horizon. I know Mardi Gras has hard seltzer on draft, so ya never know.

I tried to 'search' the subject of my question on the  'topic' on this area and didn't get a hit soooo I'll ask you and if it's been asked  and answered, I apologize, in advance. We're on the Sept 11 sailing on the Mardi Gras and the wife was wondering if the showers in the newer ships still had the liquid dispensers. I thought I'd ask here instead of having to wait 2-3 weeks to ask the returning MG passengers . Thanks for any help you can give.

Hey Mac go on you tube and search Carnival Mardi Gras, the rooms are very nice all bathrooms have nice showers with glass doors no more horrible curtains! They do have the shampoo and body wash dispenser still no conditioner.

Ahhhh !! I certainly will do that ! If, I can find somewhere, anywhere to get a COVID 19 PCR or a test Carnival will accept. we've called several drug stores, even the county health Dept without any results. Kinda  lost about where or who to turn too next. Wife's about ready to give up, but told her, Gotta keep lookin, searchin. But the days are tickin by.. Thanks for the info about the new improved MG bathrooms Gentlehyena.
