CHEERS! INCLUDES:

  • All spirits (including cocktails), as well as beer and wine by the glass with a $20.00 or lower menu price 
  • Sodas, Zero-Proof frozen cocktails, energy drinks, specialty coffee, hot tea, 500ml bottled water and other non-alcoholic bottled beverages
  • Packaged water in the Dining Room and Specialty Restaurants
  • 25% discount off the menu price for any spirit or wine by the glass above $20.00
  • 25% discount off the menu price for wine and champagne by the bottle
  • 25% discount off beverage seminars and classes

CHEERS! EXCLUDES:

  • Beverages promoted and sold in souvenir glasses
  • Bottles of liquor
  • Beverages offered at gangway
  • Beverages offered through room service, mini bars and/or in-stateroom beverage programs
  • Sharing cocktails, floaters, pitchers, tubes and buckets
  • Beverages offered through enomatic wine machines
  • All other beverage-related programs including merchandise, cigars and cigarettes
  • Food items

Applicable state and local taxes will be charged to the guest folio when this program is used within US waters. The tax is based on the state's tax structure and the cost of the individual drink purchased (not the daily program rate). For example: if the drink price is $5 and the tax is 10%, the guest's Sail & Sign card will be charged $0.50 for tax. This applies to all US ports (embarkation home ports and ports-of-call). Cheers Package is inclusive of VAT, if and as applicable on European cruises.

Yes the Cheers package covers drinks in the MDR. They will also bring you bottled water in the MDR at dinner if you want it.

I was unable to use Cheers for in for a $6.50 beer sampler with 4 - 4oz beers.  I guess it is considered a "sharing" beer.

 

Strange....they were certainly included last month on the Horizon at the P&A Brewhouse.

In the MDR be aware the fun shooters are not included.  If served in a regular glass, it's included. If served in the light up shot glass, you pay for the glass. 

 

We have enjoyed telling the headwaiter to surprise us with something that pairs well with our meals. 

 

We get bottles of sparkling water for the table each night in the MDR.

YMMV, it has been reported that you can purchase it.  Go to your husband's contact at the casino and have him help you get it.  Carnival is not going to turn down extra income.

You can take the shot and give the glass back to have it included in Cheers.  We'e done it many times.

We always just tell our server "Hey - we want the shot, but don't want the glass" and they've always made it in just a standard shotglass instead of the souvenir one for us! 🙂

I believe these reports are tall tales or a mistake by Guest Services.  Requiring both adults to purchase CHEERS is the $$.  People with medical issues and pregnant women can't get an exception.  It is more likely that the second person was added to the DOU program or a mistake.

The first person is getting comped by the casino for their drinks whether it's in the casino or all over the ship depending upon how they are rated.  Their SO that wishes to purchase Cheers should be able to do so since both patrons would have paid for Cheers, albeit one of them getting it paid via the casino or players club. 

These would not be tall tales because why would someone make it up.  If the second person is a gambler, then maybe they got added as a favor, but if they don't gamble,  why would Carnival turn down the money.

Because people tell lies all the time on these sites and gamblers are the worst...Someone just posted on another site how Carnival stocks their room with free booze all the time.  

A ton of cruisers get the DOU card offer for themselves every cruise and that is not extended to their cabinmates.  If it was true that the second person could just  buy CHEERs just for themselves, it would be all over.  That same argument about the money would be made for every incidence where just one person wants to buy CHEERS and the other can't drink alcohol...better to sell one CHEERS than none

No, the difference is that both people are in fact buying Cheers, one is paying cash for it, while the other is getting it paid from the players club.  Maybe Carnival does stock the poster's cabin with booze.  If the person in question is a whale, they could get the stuff.  I personally don't care about gamblers and the price they pay and whatever perks that they get because it does not concern me since I make zero donations in the casino.  The one person buys it while the other gets it free from the casino is a whole different animal from the one person buys it while their partner is preggo.  In the first instance, both cruisers are paying for Cheers, in the second instance, only one would be, and because of that it's not allowed.

I've been able to do the beer sampler on 3 cruises as part of cheers and then on my most recent was told it's not included. All cruises within the past 2 years so it seems to be by ship and by bartender.
