Obstructed balconies on deck 6 on Odyssey

Has anyone stayed in one of these? Just got my cabin assignment and it has me in 6222 and wondering just how obstructed the view is? Probably a lifeboat just below.

The top of the lifeboat will be about at the balcony railing height on deck 6.  This photo was taken from deck 5

 

 

Depending on the cabin location, the Davits could also obstruct higher.  This photo is from our deck 8 balcony.

Not the clearest diagram, but it appears 6222 is between the davits.

I have 6622 booked, which is the same as yours but on the opposite side, and have been hunting for photos to get an idea of the obstruction. 

If you look at the pic below in conjunction with the diagrams posted above to help you situate your cabin, it looks as though these cabins have very little obstruction as they appear to be above a much smaller lifeboat. Fingers crossed.

There are almost none on 7, you’d have to specify cabin to get some feedback.

Sorry @fla gang, I posted the wrong link. This should be the correct one. You get a full side view of the ship and I think your cabin should be just above the very small orange boat you can see behind the 4th lifeboat counting from the left.

Check you tube for cabin 6234 on Odyssey.  It is 4 cabins from yours and shows the view from the balcony, which includes 6222.  There appears to be a much smaller lifeboat outside 6222.

On deck 7 and 8 the view from the balcony is obstructed by the superstructure at the front as shown in the shots below.

I was on Allure across the pier from Odyssey and took this picture of Odyssey from the jogging track.  I think I have identified 6222 properly based on the hump and cabins counting forward from the hump.

I was on Freedom across the slip from Odyssey in Nassau.  As Odyssey pulled out I tried to grab a series of photos looking straight on for each section.  Here is what I think is 6622 if I have counted properly from the hump going forward.

I don't know how helpful this is, but we had an obstructed view cabin on Anthem, and if we were sitting on the balcony, the view was of the side of the lifeboat. Standing, the view was unaffected (unless looking down, of course).

 Thanks for the info everyone! We did the Ovation to Alaska pre covid and loved this class ship.  This cruise was a tier benefit cruise for my casino play so to do the upgrade from an interior to a balcony guarantee was like $90 so I had to take it. We are going to try eating at Wonderland on this cruise. should be quite an experience!

You certainly have hit the obstructed jackpot but be aware the seating area in close proximity does mean you will have people down and to the right, in front of you at times. 

 

It may not be the most private location.

 

I'm boarding Odyssey in a couple of hours if you want more pics of this area.

Twangster, we will have Cabin 7604 on Odyssey for the TA in Oct., 2022.  I have been counting cabins forward of the hump also, but if you get a chance to take a picture of it, that would be wonderful, and thanks in advance!
