The 16th and 26th are still available and cheap as chips .

I’m looking at the 16th cruise to the islands. I can’t get anyone to go so I will probably go solo. 10 nights solo from $1800 in a inside and $2400 for a single balcony.
It’s cheaper than being at home.

The 26th Cruise is to the north island of N.Z. , It’s still available,
This is today from a online agent.

Come on the 26th and we can have a drink Chilli!

Friends were going to join us in Sydney the night prior our 26th cruise but the price of accommodation and airfares is thru the roof.
They aren’t going to Sydney this weekend now.

It’s being renovated but should be open soon but have you ever stayed here?

Bon Voyage for your 26th cruise.  The high price of airfares is having an effect on people's travel plans. I only convinced my daughter to join me for the long weekend by reminding her she had free accommodation.  Even then she had to work in Sydney for the day on the Tuesday, so she could get a reasonable flight home after work on the Tuesday. My daughter's friend used to fly to Adelaide monthly to visit her sister, that is no more.  Impulsive last minute travel is no more!

Maybe… Not sure.  Flights might need to get cheaper for one way cruises to work.  They have the 2 Singapore to Tokyo cruises on sale now.  Guess we’ll see how well they sell.

I was thinking more of a Japanese home port season in their summer.  Have to dodge typhoons but that’s ok.  As you pointed out earlier, winter is too cold for year round cruising there.  Can see some obvious options that work seasonally eg Wonder (shared between Singapore and Brisbane) and Spectrum (Japan and Singapore).

I seems Royal is going to try a interporting in a way between Japan and Singapore.

If you were thinking of just doing one of those Tokyo cruises based on Royal’s  past be prepared to leave or arrive Tokyo instead of Yokohama.
It will be  extremely hot in Japan at this time. It is also in the middle of the main summer school and university  holiday season.
I have been to Japan 7 times and wouldn’t go in this period.

Yeah, Royal doesn’t seem to understand seasons very well.  Would have thought Spring cherry blossoms would make more sense for the Japan end.

There’s now a charge for onboard activities.

Recommend you don't go on this ship if you have a number of children.

Better to go to Dreamworld, Movieworld, Seaworld, etc on GC without cost of cruise.  Broadwater Parklands at Southport is free.

Not always, I believe free when in port. If you look on the app it has Northstar extended and basic experiences. The arm doesn't go off the side of the ship in port. Ifly also has what you have posted and complimentary sessions in port

And I like to see kids and adolescents having fun.

This big kid loves water slides - why should kids have all the fun. I'd do the flow rider on a surfboard if it wasn't for Arthur Itis stopping me from getting to my feet. Pack my boogey board perhaps? (so long as they don't put it through a scanner on boarding).😨

I'm on the overnight on the weekend of 19-20. The travel summary in the eDoc's suggest tendering.

I was under the impression Quantum class could dock, but obviously not.
If they do tender, hopefully they will tender to the wharf near the casino ,in town.

Much nicer that the industrial port.

Last time we were in Vila we docked (positive it was Ovation) so not sure what the problem is. We are on 14/12 sailing with an overnighter in Vila. I think tendering would be difficult, but cannot see anywhere in my documents that it says tendering. If so, after my recent tendering experience I will be staying on the ship. I do hope Chiliburn on this occasion you are wrong.😩

I don’t know?

Here’s the itinerary from my agent.
