We have a May 2022 Regent cruise where the final payment was due next week, five months before sailing.  However this morning I received this email in 8 pt type. I had to enlarge it to read :

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING YOUR UPCOMING CRUISE

DATE OF ISSUANCE: DECEMBER 6, 2021

Dear Valued Guest and Travel Advisor

Regent Seven Seas Cruises continues to closely monitor the COVID-19 coronavirus situation and the global health environment. We are modifying our payment schedule for your voyage departing in May 2022 — for any reservations that have not yet been paid in full, final payment will now be due 60 days prior to cruise departure date.

For reservations where final payment has already been made, cancellation penalties will not start till 60 days prior to cruise departure date.

If you have questions regarding this matter, please contact us using the phone numbers below.

Sincerely,

Regent Seven Seas Cruises

ChucktownSteve et al:

Made Final Payment on November 16th for our April 12th arrival at Tokyo ("Vibrant Tokyo" Pre-Stay) and April 15th Mariner boarding.  No email, yet, from Regent as to modifying the existing cancelation penalty timeline.

If none is received in a day or two, will contact our TA for an update.

Thanks for the heads-up.

GOARMY!

Pleased to see Regent being proactive enabling passengers to have more time to make informed decisions without financial penalty. Currently restaurant reservations are open 90 days before embarkation (when final payment was originally to be made) just wondering if this date will change to 60 days?
