Anyone on board Equinox now with January 9, 2022 sailing?

As we get ready to depart from our final port of call on this cruise I suppose I’d sum it up like this.

we booked a 12 day cruise with 7 island stops and assuming we make it back to Fort Lauderdale in a couple of days we’ve had a successful 7 island cruise. Yes, one island was different than advertised but it was a great stop. We’ve done 3 ship excursions and 2 taxi tours on our own. The other 2 ports we were able to go into a contained shopping area and do some souvenir hunting.

the food has been very good and I’d probably say excellent. We’ve dined in Murano twice and Le Petit Chef once as well as our normal meals in Luminae. All have been great and the service great. The crew seems to have good morale.

while there have been no singers and dancers revue type shows, we have had a headliner each evening and they've all been good. Very talented performers.

best I can recall we’ve had a grand total of 5 Covid cases among passengers and 2 among crew. With 1500 passengers and 1000 crew that’s about 1/3 of 1% among passengers and 1/4 of 1% among the crew.

we’ve worn our masks except when eating and drinking. We’ve enjoyed the solarium several times and no one sat with 15-20 feet of us so we didn’t wear our masks in there.

all in all a different cruise but an enjoyable cruise. We’re glad we came.  We get off this ship Friday and get on the Silhouette on Monday for a similar cruise but different ports. Looking forward to that cruise as well.

Only Celebrity excursions allowed. Masked indoors and outdoors regardless of vaccination status. Friends went to the beach. They said charge to go was cheaper than if they had arranged to go themselves.

Thanks for the info!  Even though it was not what I wanted to hear, hoping things change in a month🤞

Also I disagree with the quality of the entertainment. The two comedians were very good as was Celli and the violinist. The singers were poor ( screaming) and obviously last minute emergency replacements. I missed the production shows. This doesn’t mean that I didn’t love the cruise just that I spent more time in the casino. Also the area used for game shows was too small without enough seating. Staff was wonderful.

What area were they using for game shows?

Just right outside the theater. In an open area that everyone walks by to get to the theater.

I agree.  Even before covid I thought that wasn't a good place to have things as it blocks the walkway.  But no one ever asked me for my opinion!😜

My wife will tell you I’m easily pleased 😎

Question please.  Have you or when will you be tested for Silhouette?

Just googled OLV. They sound great. Hope they’re onboard Feb.11.

According to their schedule they are on the Equinox until Jan 30th and not back on the Equinox until the end of March. They also appear on other ships.

I was hoping they'd be on our March 13th sailing however, it looks like we'll miss them too. Oh well.

Yes. We get off equinox on Friday and can’t test for our Monday departure on silhouette until Saturday so we plan to use the Abbott/Optum tests recommended by Celebrity. We also used them for this cruise.

Off the ship and crying. Great safe cruise. .003% covid all mild. Much safer than staying home. Book another on the Edge.

Thanks for bringing the ship back safely for those of us sailing today! When is your Edge sailing?
