Free Casino Cruise?

Prime right now is 1500 pts for the free annual cruise.  So if you earn say 1600 pts you will get prime, a free oceanview sailing and the free annual cruise plus free drinks as soon as you hit 1500 pts for this year.   Great deal right now.

Based on my account I earned 1,722 and need an add'l 778 points to reach prime.  However, as indicated there's an update as of March, '22 that indicates Prime is 1,500 points.  Don't know what gives.

The lowered amounts to achieve tier level will not be recognized until April 1. On April 1 you should see on the Club Royale website that your points reset to zero but your tier status should show as Prime.

Continued from my above post.

Called Casino Royale and was told, true or not, that I'll be Prime for the fiscal period '22-23.  I said to him does that mean that if I take another cruise between now and April 1 (fiscal year start) I will still be choice.  Different from land casinos.

No, from what the casino host told me, the 1500 points will be recognized as Prime on April 1, not before then. So free drinks will start April 1.

So in a sense, once you hit the magic tier level mid-way, there's no inducement to play any further, unless you try for the next tier level.

Makes no sense, but you basically confirmed what the Casino desc CS said,

others have said that if you go to the host, they give you a sticker for free drinks for your card.  Probably depends on the host and maybe that is when it was 2500.

When did you experience this???

I asked the host on our last cruise, which was 2 weeks ago. I am Signature but only had 20,000 points. I thought I had to get another 5,000 points by April 1. But he explained that for anyone that currently has a tier, it is automatically extended another year. He then went on to explain about people who did not have a current tier status, like Choice instead of Prime, will be granted Prime on April 1 if they get 1,500 points by April 1.

A different point of view, my wife hit prime status on the 3rd day of a recent Symphony cruise with 2,500 points, she went to the casino host who verified the info and slapped a prime sticker on her card.  Free drinks from then on out.

They stickered someone on Anthem mid-cruise and they were entitled to free drinks.

I guess it depends on casino host.

Basically, the more play the better your offers will be.    i.e. my DH has over 5600 points and he gets offers for JS with $200 or $300 of freeplay or OV balconies.    I had over 3500 points and most my offers were for OV cabins with an occasional offer for a balcony but the balconies were usually for the shorter 3 to 5 night cruises.

Heck even to get offers for free interior cabins and pay the casino rate to upgrade is a great deal.      And you can book non-casino cruises thru club royale phone number and get discounts in addition to D+ discounts.   I have done this several times over the years and have got some great deals.

and part of your inducement is to achieve prime status for the following year after April 1st.   Once you get that done the rest is icing on the cake.

Not to hijack....but those that are getting the offers, are you spending most of your time on the slots? Tables? I spend a lot of money at the tables and poker and never get anything.

We leave week after next on a "free" 5 day out of Galveston, then 2 more 5 days, 1 on RCCL and 1 on CCL out of Galveston (about a 45 minute drive for us), in May and October and a 7 day out of NYC to Canada/New England.  The only one we are paying for is the NYC cruise, because it is a different line and I haven't gambled with that line much.  I play probably 90% table games and will throw a couple dollars in a slot now and then.  Casino Royale has been very good for me.  I have won on cruises maybe 40% of the time, so kinda "prepay" for the next cruise.  On a loosing cruise I might loose $1000 but have won on several.  But of course still down.  I have friends that are exclusively table gamblers and they get the same offers I do.

Is this just for those that spend a substantial amount in the Casino??

Not at all.  People will get offers, some better than others based on play, for $100.  Typically if you take a $100 bill out of your pocket and put it on a table or in a slot machine, by the time you leave, if you loose it all, you will have actually played several hundred dollars overall.  Pay $2 six times and win back $4, play another 6 dollars and win back $8 and on and on.  Crap dealer in Las Vegas told me back in the late 1970s that slot machines will let you win and win and win until they take all of your money.  🙂

just received an email about 5 might or less inside cabin, need to take within the next 2 months.

Unfortunately we are already booked for April 7 day on Oasis.

My gambling info:

I sailed Anthem for NYE and played maybe $200 in slot's. Cashed out $500. So net profit $300.

We took our first RCCL cruise in January 2022 (not first cruise ever). My husband was in the casino every evening, not sure how much he spent.

We have received about six mailers with casino royale offers over the past 6 weeks.  The first were for interior or OV spring/early summer.  The latest ones included balcony offers, dates till end of September.

I went online last night and submitted for a 5 night out of Port Canaveral, balcony cabin.  Have not gotten a response yet.  But hey, how bad can it be--it will be mostly free. Probably will not upgrade, but we will look at the royal up offers if available.

I spend my time at the slots and get the free offers. My husband sits at the tables and doesn’t get squat.

I have never redeemed casino offers online do you get to pick your cabin number like you can when you call club royale?

Go on line before you call Club Royale and check the cruises you have been offerred.  You can do a dummy reservation and see the cabins that are available for the category of your offer.  Choose the cabin you want and call Club Royale and tell them your offer code and the cabin you want.  If you are going to pay for an upgrade from interior to oceanview, or oceanview to balcony look at those rooms as well and pick your room number.  They will tell you what the upgrade will be.  The last one we did was from a balcony to a junior suite.  Both of us had offers but not the same one, so we used my cash value to upgrade.  If both offers you receive are from the same cruise the first 6 numbers should be the same and you can combine them.  There will be an upgrade charge in some cases and others you may just get the upgrade with the two offers.

No but you have to play machines.  Tables dont get you anywhere.  Last cruise it was 800 pts for a free cruise.  We spent $800 and got 1150 pts and had very little luck.  Got a week cruise on symphony in march inside for $300 in taxes.  Royal upd to a ov balcony for 150pp.  So a $2500 cruise cost us $1400 with the $800 loss.  Going this week and hope to get a canada cruise for summer and make prime for less this time.

Well that explains why my husband doesn’t get great offers, but spends a lot of time and money at the tables.   And why I have never gotten a single offer (dont have the patience for slots, have dropped some money  at the tables, but usually goes too quick lol).

That seems a little backwards from what they really want which is people with large minimums when the odds are In the casino’s favor.   I guess it’s a good thing I don’t run a casino since I don’t understand that logic
