Hello,

I know pigs might fly with greater probability than this, but I would like a return to the long gone days when a Freedom/Voyager class sailed out of Southampton whilst Brilliance sailed out of Harwich.

Regards,

Cublet

I recall threads where Brits were tired of Indy and wanted something new.😉

I'd love a trip out of Harwich. Were those British Isles trips

The rumour in Oz is Enchantment will be replaced with Brilliance on the Alaska and Australian seasons 23/24.

So if those rumors are true, Enchantment will sail the Mediterranean?

Wow, this seems like a lot of musical chairs just to make a few more bucks.... first moving everyone from the Enchantment to Brilliance, then relocating everyone from Brilliance to who knows where.  And a little late in the game.... half the flights for the current Alaska season on Enchantment are already on sale.  Just wish they'd announce already so people can make other plans.

Thanks, I am still not clear if this was a UK bookings only deal?

I expected more flights to Cyprus since many Brits have holiday homes there but a quick search has only shown limited TUI and Jet2, along with their package holidays. I wondered who else flew regularly from the regional airports.Sounds like BA? - will have to check their schedule out.

I flew independently on BA to Cyprus to join the Jewel last year

Thanks!

Surprisingly BA is coming out best fare - I only want one-way. We have had good deals before to Rome and to/from Barcelona. I thought Cyprus would have been more popular than it seems. Plenty of time for change before next year.

I have very bad news.  The casino line just confirmed that our cruise on the Brilliance for June 12 is CANCELLED.  In fact, she confirmed that the Brilliance has a sailing OUT OF VANCOUVER on June 11.  The Enchantment is going to be sailing the Greek Isles tours for summer of 2023.

Thanks for sharing. Sad news.

The International Maritime Organization recently shared new speed regulations we must adhere to and as a result, we've repositioned some of our ships for our upcoming 2023/2024 season. Our original plan for Brilliance of the Seas was to continue offering sailings departing from Tampa, Florida through April 29th, 2023 and begin its European season on May 15th, 2023, before making its way back to Tampa, Florida in November 2023. Instead, Brilliance will now sail from Vancouver, British Columbia starting April 3rd, 2023 and Sydney, Australia beginning October 23rd, 2023.

Enchantment of the Seas will now take Brilliance's place in Florida and Europe and will offer similar itineraries! Starting July 28th, 2022, we'll automatically move your clients to the new Enchantment of the Seas sailing departing on the same day as their original Brilliance of the Seas cruise. They'll receive like-for-like accommodations onboard Enchantment of the Seas, and their amenities will remain the same.

Your clients' vacation is important to us. While we're confident they'll have an amazing time onboard Enchantment and enjoy many of the same features as Brilliance, we still want them to have the flexibility to make the best decision for them and those in their party. Below, we've outlined their options along with a few additional details.

Option 1: Stay onboard the new Enchantment of the Seas cruise.

  • We'll automatically move them to the Enchantment of the Seas sailing departing on the same day as their original cruise. So, there's nothing for you to do!
  • Their new sailing will still offer the same beautiful ports as their original cruise, and it'll depart from the same destination.
  • We'll move them to a like-for-like stateroom and their original stateroom category price will either be protected at their original cruise fare rate or reduced to the current cruise fare rate (whichever is lower). This excludes taxes, fees, gratuities, and other non-cruise fare items.
    • If their booking was already paid in full and their cruise fare rate decreases, we'll provide them with a refund for the difference. They can expect to receive their refund to their original form of payment within 14 business days after we move them. Kindly note, refund times may vary depending on their financial institution.
  • Lastly, you'll receive protected commission.

Option 2: Re-book any other Royal Caribbean International sailing.

  • If they prefer to re-book another sailing, we'll waive any non-refundable deposit change fees.
  • Please know, they'll be responsible for any difference in pricing for their cruise fare, taxes, fees, gratuities, and other non-cruise fare items.
    • If their booking was already paid in full and their cruise fare rate decreases, we'll provide them with a refund for the difference. They can expect to receive their refund to their original form of payment within 14 business days after we move them. Kindly note, refund times may vary depending on their financial institution.
  • Lastly, your commission will be based on the revised cruise fare paid.

Option 3: If they can't find a new itinerary that works for them and choose to cancel, we'll be sad to see them go. They'll receive:

  • A full refund of any paid portion of your cruise fare (including non-refundable deposits) and any pre-paid amenities to the original form of payment within 14 business days - some international banking and financial institutions may have a processing time of approximately 30 business days.
    • If they used a Future Cruise Credit on this sailing, and they request a refund instead, we'll refund any NEW funds paid above the certificate amount, and we'll reinstate their original certificate.
  • If they booked their airfare through Royal Caribbean International, it will be automatically refunded to them. However, if they booked on their own, please contact the service provider directly for their options with them.
  • Please know, if they choose this option, we will not provide additional compensation.

At least we are still sailing to the same ports.  That's the important part to me.

I haven't been on Enchantment, what was bad about your cruise?

Probably too long for this thread, suffice to say that we didn't particularly enjoy our time and won't return even though Enchantment's home port is (was?) only an hour away. We booked our B2B on Brilliance before going on Enchantment - to be honest we probably wouldn't have booked another Royal cruise at all, so this is a nice out for us.

We just got off EN today.  Some people don't appreciate the smaller ships.  Others complain about how "old" she is (she's not old by maritime standards).  Some complain about not much to do (well, do your research, sheesh).  We love the ship.  Service was slow in the dining room the last couple of nights and the production show was cancelled due to illness of performers.  I'm guessing from what we saw in the MDR that galley crew and wait staff were also impacted.  We had our regular waitstaff, but they would disappear for a while making me think they were helping out with other tables. She actually looked better than when we were on in April.  They've caught up with a lot of the maintenance.   We had a great time.

Glad to hear it!  We were on Enchantment years ago when our kids were young.  This cruise we were doing for the itinerary, not the ship; although the self-leveling pool tables on Brilliance sounded so cool!  Oh well - we're still going and glad it wasn't canceled.  Now I can get back to planning my port visits.  I had stopped all planning because I thought this was going to get canceled.

We’re booked on the 29/4 transatlantic in an obstructed view balcony cabin which was booked as a balcony gty (cabin has been assigned already).  Looking at the deck plans for Enchantment there appears to be far less balcony cabins available compared to Brilliance and none with an obstructed view.  There were very few balcony cabins left for sale before Brilliance sales were suspended so I can’t see how RCI can move all the balcony bookings over to Enchantment. It’ll be interesting to see what happens but if I’m not offered a balcony cabin I’ll definitely cancel.

That will be interesting for us, too, the cabin class we were booked in on Brilliance doesn't even exist on Enchantment.
