Turning plantium on my cruise next week.

I have afew questions. I know that i will have the platinum perks when im actually on the ship but do i get the perks before i board like early check in and priority boarding? Also my wife and son will be with me who will not be turning platinum, would they be able to do priority debark with me? Also this may be a silly question but ive never used the wash and fold service before. Would i just ask my room steward about that?

Do your cruise docs indicate Platinum? They should.

I assume they are on your booking, so you can check everyone in at the same time. There should be a paper laundry bag in your cabin, but perhaps best to ask the steward because they will know when you need to have ready and what the turn around time might be. You can all board and debark together.

don't thinkthere is prioity boarding just because you are platinum now. You do get to check in 2 days earlier which should get you a better boarding group number and get you on pretty early.

Actually, you can call room service for the Chocolate Delight, they can handle that (that's what we have done)

Yes all benefits should be available to you before and after.  No priority boarding for anyone right now (except weddings and Suites), but as someone mentioned above, you can pick your port arrival time 2 days before others, which in turn gets you an earlier boarding time.

 

You do get the letter in your room with early zone boarding tags if you want to use the priority debarkation.

 

Still get priority tendering in tender ports going (not coming back).

 

Still have priority line at guest services.

 

Still get bottled water - go to bar or ask in dining room will not be in your room for you like before.

 

Still get chocolate delight (call room service)

 

Still get laundry (there are usually bags and tags to fill out in drawer in room), just do that and pack it in bag and give to Steward.... if they aren't there then just ask him for some

 

Still get free gift (go to Pixles gallery to get that), again not in in room

 

All guests in the same room with you get the same boarding, debarking, and tendering with you

 

Many ships are doing the Diamond/Platinum party with free apps and drinks for your and 1 guest -  (watch for an invite in your room) - this is being reported as hit or miss depending on ship and sailing, but seems to be getting more and more back to normal

Yes and Yes as for Laundry there should be a bag in your room if not ask the Room Steward for one, fill and leave on the bed for pick up

Unless it has changed recently, the MG Platinum/Diamond Party was the worse (May 2022).  Just one glass of either red or wine wine on your way in (or sodas).  No food.  Each ship is different so hopefully your first party won't suck.

Only thing better is sporting that white card 😜  Still remember the first day wearing it on my lanyard and how excited I was lol!  Now, it's no big deal and is just a piece of plastic... the exhilaration wains over time.

Good idea.  Haven't been to one of those in over 10 years.  They were really good when they were earlier in the cruise week, longer in duration and those in the know ordered whatever to drink before the days of Cheers.

You really should check it out for yourself. Live your own life. I often skip them, especially with covid around, but the one I went to earlier this year had appetizers and plenty to drink. I was sloshed.
