I see they are removing some of the casino bars.  Does anyone know what this is all about?

For us, the casino bars are the most fun to hang out at.

They don't want the entire promenade deck smelling like a pool hall so even on ships where the casino bar still exists, it's entirely non-smoking now. The Casino is now only supposed to be smoking when actively playing at designated tables or machines, although enforcement of that rule is about as scant as most others.

If I'm not mistaken, it's only the Vista class ships that had the bar removed. So depending on the vessel, chances are you'll be fine.

thanks for the info Hoosierpop

Is there a smokeless casino on Horizon?

No. And as was mentioned earlier, you’re supposed to be actively playing while smoking. But I didn’t see that enforced. I played nothing but craps on my cruise and the smoke was really hit or miss whether there were many people smoking.

Mardi Gras has a huge smoke-free casino (and a smaller smoking casino) and many other amazing venues like never before on any Carnival ship.  Highly recommend both the ship and the casino.  The non-smoking casino has an amazing sea view if you're playing table games.  the smoking casino has a view of the lifeboats.  😁
