First, thank you for taking us all along with you.

Second, is The Gift back yet?

My pleasure ☺️

According to the app, it's supposed to be performed on day 11. I'll confirm whether it does or doesn't go ahead.

@FionaMG - were you able to book any shows in advance, or did you have to wait until you were on board, like every other RC ship currently?

No advance bookings at all. The only one that currently requires booking is Spectra's cabaret and it's booked onboard. All the others are first come first served, no bookings required.

We Will Rock You is slated to be performed tomorrow and the day after and they're planning on opening the doors an hour before each show begins! 😱

The pool deck was heaving this morning, people everywhere, as is to be expected on a sunny sea day. We managed to find a single lounger in the sun to share.

We stuck it out till 1pm and then headed to the Schooner bar for the flag trivia. I watch a LOT of international athletics so I'm pretty good with my flags and I won the quiz. 💪💪💪

The prize was a 200 dollar off effy voucher for use against a minimum purchase of 600 dollars. 🙄😂. Not interested, I'm happy just to bask in the glory of my victory! 🥇

Lunch in the WJ now. It's fairly quiet as it's past rush hour. I found a nice steak and kidney pie. That's my British blood coming out.

Spa price list, which I picked up because for some unknown reason we were given a 50 dollar voucher for the spa. I may use it for a manicure since that's the only thing it covers entirely! 😂

Well this explains why the Thermal Suite pass wasn't in the cruise planner.... guess they don't do it anymore.

Maybe it's ship specific?

Anyway I took the plunge and booked an exotic ritual manicure for tomorrow. I would have booked just the basic one but the girl said it had to be something that cost more than the face value of the voucher (why am I not surprised? 🙄). So it'll set me back about 20 dollars but that's not a huge amount so I guess I'm ok with that. 😂

I wish they would offer pies on US cruises or at least the transatlantics to/from Southampton.

I was excited to see a pie listed on the digital board outside the MDR on the first night of my Voyager TA.  The excitement disappears when the waiter said it was a mistake.  😞

Whenever I travel to the UK, pies are always on our shopping list.

Pies and curries! In the past I'd only ever seen them on the menus of cruises from Southampton but we had them on our Odyssey sailing out of Rome this past May as well. Yum. 😋

Plenty of open sunbeds in the sun this afternoon. I guess the rush is in the morning and the people gradually drift away.

I thought it was a passing cloud blocking the sun but it turned out to be the north star.

I don't know what that little green dot is on the middle photo. It showed up on some video we both shot separately yesterday straight into the sun as well so I suppose it's related. 🤔

Before we went to dinner we had a phone message from Alina in guest services who was the agent who tried to help us yesterday with the biography sheet. She said that they had been discontinued and so she wasn't going to be able to get us one after all and apologies for not being to come through for us.

However, when we passed by GS and I went to thank her for her efforts she said she had just managed to get one after all and had been about to have someone take it to our room for us. Score! 😁😁😁

I'll do a pic of it later but for the record, the Captain is Srecko Ban, the Chief Engineer is Pavo Brzica, Hotel Director is Tony Curtis and, of course, the Cruise Director is Joff Eaton.

Artichoke and pea salad. I had this for the first time on Odyssey in May and really liked it. It didn't disappoint this time. Very nice.

Lamb pot pie. Delicious but so much food.

Chocolate souffle, one of my all time favourites.

You must have received Royal's generic answer for questions? Sorry that has been discontinued.........we no longer do that. 🤣 ☹️

Hoping it's available when we board for the TA.  I seem to remember they were available in the past.  Same kitchen staff so dh says just ask and it will appear!  The staff wants to please. Dh and friends asked for an Indian dish that had been shown during a demo that was much better than the menu item.  When they asked headwaters, it appeared!  On our Australian circumnavigation in 2020, it was Purim and mentioned we'd like some Hamantaschen. (A cookie).  A plate appeared the next evening.

Fingers crossed for you. 🤞

The couple of curries I've had we're good.
